Hey All! My latest build is a small alien fighter. When I saw the cocoon from the Galaxy Squad sets I wanted to use it as an engine thruster. So I built the engine first and designed the rest of the ship around that engine. Hope you enjoy... Any suggestions are welcome! Thanks, rongYIREN

The Aircraft's engines as wheels!? Brilliant!!! I love that design. that's smart thinking.

Transforming into a mech? Now that is a nice idea. I think I'll work on a new version this weekend... thanks a lot!

Thanks a lot everyone. I appreciate the feedabck! Ha, perhaps I can make an AFOL version with no flick-fire missiles... I like your idea about placing the underside 1x3 slope(landing struts) in the center... it is now updated.

A really great looking build - those feet are quite interesting.

Love the bubble cockpit on this one and I really enjoy how you have "clam-shelled" the mudguards on the back.

Hey all! This is a bit of a redesign from an earlier copter from last year... I always thought that it would be cool to have a LEGO City theme of the future. Nothing too far into the future... maybe just a "Near-Future" theme. This Copter here comes equipped with NOTAR Thanks for taking a look! And, as always, critques and suggestions are welcome. rongYIREN

Ha, they are rather odd but in a good way. That red one is very cute and cool. Have to pick him up. I'm also really excited about those new ball joint pieces, but March is so far away...

Thanks! Yeah, it is pretty much an update of the cuttlefish I made last year Hey thanks. nope, it's not based off any official set, just something i wanted to make on my own. Hey guys, thanks a lot, I appreciate it!

This is an asymmetric beauty, love the armament.

Such an appropriate name - just like a scorpion fish with all of those spines. Love the work you did around the engine area.

[Sci-Friend] Olivia's new ship for the summer
rongYIREN replied to Bob De Quatre's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Ha ha, great looking ship! Those 'water cannons' look almost deadly. They might be useful if a riot ever breaks out during one of the beach parties. Really love the unusual shape. -
Great looking walker. I really like the use of those shovel heads for feet.

I see these animal-like builds as being stylized designs that don't necessarily need to look exact but I'll give this thing another look. Always appreciate your perspective on the builds!

Hey All, A redesign of an older MOC. Wanted to included a few play features in the new build. (The ORCA-II sports two flick-fire torpedoes and one flick-fire harpoon that can be used to haul in the submersible's catch. The ORCA-II also has at its disposal a scout drone called Remora) (Remora launching for a mission) (ORCA-II hauls in a rather ornery catch for the day) Feedback is, as always, welcome rongYIREN

Hey Everyone, It's still a WIP but at least I've got it brick built. Originally I thought that I'd have this one knocked off my 'to do' list with just a couple quick Bricklink orders. However, 4 Bricklink orders later as well as two local orders made here in Taiwan and still I'm lacking parts. I might just give up brick building for the much easier digital building... yeah, right. The final color should be a Neon-Green and Dark Purple scheme. Not the Red that you see here. I think one of the ideas I wanted to explore with this model and which would explain the inclusion of the Galaxy Squad member in the cockpit is that it is a craft designed to mimic the Insectoid vehicles which would allow GS to covertly infiltrate Insectoid base camps... or something like that. Or... maybe not. Anyway, critiques are very welcome. I'm looking forward to finalizing this guy. (UPDATE!) Now in Purple... I really like it when people build utilitarian looking spacecraft and you have a nice example here. Great colors. I particularly like the 'Passive wide sensor array' at the top of the ship.
-
Wow, beautiful work on this supply craft - I love all the detail that you've added.
-
Ha, now that you mention it, they do seem to look a little strange on the LDD version. Like zombie eyes.I'll see what using a smaller dish can do for it. Thanks!

Hey guys,I really appreciate the feedback! I uploaded the LDD version of the purple dragonfly just to give you an idea while I wait for the Bricklink orders to arrive. The tail rotor is the old design and will not be used for the upcoming brick-built version of the purple dragonfly... Thanks! Actually it is supposed to be more of a dragonfly.

A couple months back I uploaded the WIP of this guy and I have finally gotten around to completing him. So here it is buzzBEAST in it's final incarnation. The biggest changes were the addition of the 'snare' to help round up any Galaxy Squad members unlucky enough to cross the buzzBEAST's path. The legs were also redesigned to better resemble the legs found on a wasp. And yes, the legs to fold out when it lands. Thanks! rongYIREN
