  1. My Lego Store has 12 Star Destroyers in already and is getting 40 more in today. Lego really stocked this well it seems.
  2. I’ll settle for double points. Better than nothing.
  3. I redeemed a $50 off coupon for it already. I’ve never gotten the new VIP work on my iPhone. Cleared all data from Safari, uninstalled my ad blocker, nothing works. Having to use my Mac and just hope it works out when I get there is annoying. Used a coupon and it applied the discount on the cart but wasn’t on my invoice and Lego charged me the full amount. Took 4 days but support refunded my points and gave me 1,000 extra. I appreciate it but I miss the old system that just worked.
  4. Huh. I got mine from the same store and I got wheels. Maybe they dropped the wheels when volume picked up? It is a cute idea but admittedly I can see the problems with it. Was it in the shipping container still or just the set box?
  5. By the sound of it so far they’ll be more prepared than the Falcon but I wouldn’t expect them to last that long. Really question are we getting wheels again? Edit: should clarify I mean on the packaging not the set. Box looks about as big as the Falcon so I’m not keen to carry it.
  6. Feel comfortable saying what store is yours? If you know how many Flacons they got too that’ll be an indication of what to expect for stock.
  7. Assuming each store gets 20-30 of them in they may not all sell out by store open but I’d bet they’d be gone by the end of the day. I’d say the UCS ISD is definitely a top 5 AFOL desired set. I’m guessing it’ll be the same number of people as the Falcon launch and there were easily 20+ people who went and didn’t get one. Double points may push people over the edge too.
  8. Glad I’m not the only one who bought/looked into new shelving for the ISD. Thank the lord. Still getting to my store really early. It’s an hour and a half away from me and that’s too far a drive to go home empty handed for me. Switch and podcasts will make it suck less plus always fun speaking to other collectors.
  9. I got to my Lego Store 5 hours before they opened for the Falcon and there were already 6 other people there. By 5:15 AM all the Falcons were claimed by people in line. I collected Amiibo so standing in front of stores for a toy was something I was used to already plus my bud agreed to tag along despite not getting one himself but those 5 hours were long. It sucked seeing people show up later and telling them that all the Falcons were claimed already. I know they would give out free shipping cards to people as well but there were a fair number of people who were there before the store manager. Why they thought 8 was enough for a city/cities with millions of people is beyond me. My store got 60 Tantives day one so hopefully the people who show up 4 hours before will be able to get one.
  10. My only Star Wars purchase this year has been the Tantive. The regular releases just didn’t peak my interest, so dropping that much on an ISD is more justifiable in my head. Don’t have a gf/wife/kids and my cat won’t judge me, in fact she’ll probably love the big box it’ll come in. Following the rumors also helps because I can start saving earlier if it’s something I want. Preference also is important, I can’t see myself dropping more $300 on anything other than the Falcon or ISD.
  11. Yep. Still waiting on the last Praetorian Guard helmet.
  12. Did Cloud City leak at all? I believe they made it all the way to release. Where at? Can’t find a pic on reddit, insta, or Facebook.
  13. Well the reveal for Cloud City was August 21st last year. Year before the Falcon was revealed officially on the 30th. Really reveal could be any day now. Personally I just want the release day so I can request off from work to stand in front of my Lego Store.

While I see your point Nokturn I think a vast majority of people willing to shell out $800 for a Lego set on day one have A) been following the rumor mill for a while and have been saving up or B) have enough free money that it's not a big deal to drop that much. UCS sets tend to be on the market for many years so it's not like by not buying it the second it comes out means you won't get one.

I'm also in the buying it when it comes out camp. Double VIP amounts to $40 US off which doesn't seem worth waiting months for. I'm fully on the hype train and I have vacation time to use before December. I'm just worried about stock being an issue. Anyone know how many sets the Lego Stores usually get for bigger sets?
