  1. Thanks guys I really appreciate it. I really just started MOCing again and I'm grateful for the positive feedback.
  2. On a desolate snowy landscape an elf scout clad in bright mail is doing a patrol with his loyal husky companion. A closer look shows that this is a snow elf by his orange hair which is different than wood elves (whose hair is normally a brownish color), silver armor and irregular weaponry. Snow elves are the most the "Viking" like of the elves located on the aisle of Solitude. They don't wear the silly horned helmets or use any axes (all elves dislike axes), but they have been known to slip into a berserker rage and they love the thrill of battle. The snow elves also love sailing and are amazing ship makers. These snow elves have a governmental structure where the Council of Jarls (clan leaders) elect the Csarjarl who is the overall leader of the snow elf race. The Jarls also serve as war leaders. The snow elves worship the Nordic gods. There is no set uniform for the snow elf warriors and most warriors supply their own weapons and armor. That particular snow elf you're seeing is Feanor. Unlike most snow else he uses more reason and is less hot-headed. Feanor is a scout for Jarl Enradae and is doing a routine patrol. As usual his dog didn't say anything. Suddenly Feanor stopped, ears pricked and sword drawn. A low hissing sound is heard through the silent mountainside. Feanor strains his eyes and sees a red glow coming from a cave in the distance. He goes to investigate. (Inside the cave) An imposing dark figure identifiable as Lord Ravage is flanked by two of his same race as bodyguards facing a tall robed figure with a staff. The robed figure is flanked by one of his own race and two heavily armored serpentine-like creatures one of whom looks familiar. Lord Ravage (angrily) "Why did you bring me here wretch?" The robed figure (calmly) "To show you something." Lord Ravage advances threateningly. Lord Ravage (angrily) "Don't want my time!" The robed figure (still calmly) "Nice to meet you Lord Ravage, my people simply call me 'The Sorcerer', but you can call me Fred." Lord Ravage shakes with anger while Feanor watches with interest and increasing alarm. 'Fred' (with amusement) "So Ravage, do you want me to show you an unstoppable army to take over Historica with or would you rather attack me?" That catches Ravage's attention. Ravage almost attacks Fred but decides not to and manages to put his rage in check. Lord Ravage (with an eerie air of calm) "Very well then 'Fred' show me this 'army'." Fred gestures to the back of the cave where a multitude of chariots and a whole lot of snakes are located. Some of the snakes are opening eggs where their kindred are being stored. One of the snakes is forming and in the background there is a chariot. "This army" Feanor ran back to the Local Jarl's castle with urgent news of an invading army led by Fred. A bonus View of the chariot. The bad guys and their bodyguards. Thanks for looking. C and C welcome.

Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion

@pigs54 Yes, elves dwarves, orcs, trolls, etc. are a crucial part of Guilds of Historica, and my sig fig is an elf. Dwarves are typically found in Mitgardia, elves are typically found in Avalonia, Kaliphlin is a mix of elves, dwarves, and men, and last but not least Nocturnus houses all kinds of twisted and strange creatures. There are no restrictions on what creatures can be in what guilds, so if you want to join just pick a guild and make a sig fig.

Book II, Challenge V, Cat A - Buying time

@Henjin_Quilones Sorry for the bad story, I was really rushing the story and I wished I had more time to expand it. Making elvish names is sort of hard. I wanted to make a name for the female courier, because I will hopefully include the courier in future MOCs. Thanks for the advice!
  6. As the prow of the canoe cut through the choppy waves, the elves glanced around at their surroundings warily, as they were entering disputed territory. While three of the elves were dressed in the dark greens of warriors, a female elf in the bright green of a courier fingered her letter to the elvish king anxiously. Suddenly, a shadowy figure appeared on the shore. The elves hastily assumed battle positions when the Snake man attacked, for they saw it was a group of snakes wearing armor, the bravest and strongest jumped of the boat while the other elves reacted. The snake man swung his hammer and the elf blocked it, stabbed the snake man and jumped onto the boat which sailed away. The king got the message and mustered his troops to come to the aid of historica, but what no-one saw was a slowly reforming pile of snakes picking up a hammer and vowing revenge. (Again sorry for no pictures still haven't worked that out.) -Trooper919

Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion

I am proud to present my sig fig, Aithlin. He is a member of the elite elvish Ranger corp of which the ones shown were only a part. Although Aithlin is blind, a result of torture at the hands of a goblin warlord, he is one of the best shots in the corp, and is an excellent swordsman because his father is an elvish knight who trained Aithlin to follow in his footsteps. The older elf next to Aithlin is Ehrandir, the leader of the corps. Ehrandir trained Aithlin and is almost like a father to him. The rangers have wolf pendants are a symbol of their wolf mounts, and their sashes are a symbol of authority, with the larger the sashe, the more authority. The rangers are a close knit group and protect the borders of the elvish kingdom of Audubon. Audubon is located on the southernmost and largest island in the isles of solitude. In the mountains there are groups of mountain elves (or Grey Elves), snow elves, and goblins. There are orcs living in a part of the forest where no no plants grow and the orcs are only kept from invading mitgardia through elvish border defense. ( Sorry for the long story and not having pictures in the post I haven't figured out how to do that yet.)

Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion

@Brandon Stark Sorry if the word claiming was misleading . I put the quotation marks around the word because I knew it wasn't correct, but I couldn't find a better word. I really asked because I didn't want to interfere with anyone's storyline. I thought about joining Avalonia since my main faction of elves are wood elves, but I also wanted to make some more "Mitgardian"- like elves. Again sorry if this was misleading .

I'm trying to find a place to put my elves, and I was wondering if anyone had laid "claim" to the isles of solitude. Thanks in advance! -Trooper919

@Slegengr : I think I might join mitgardia fir the puns. I could make two or tree puns about avalonia but I feel like they would drag-on a bit. Nocturnus puns aren't marsh fun, and Kaliphlin puns aren't that cool.

@Slegengr: Thanks but seriously you Mitgardians need to chill. Mitgardia may be nice but doesn't mean you guys have to say stuff about it. (This is meant to be a way to reply to a pun and is in no way how I feel about this matter because puns are punny.)

I wanted to do some stereotypical wood elves and some under a Norse influence. It will probably be a while before I post a sig fig etc. Because I only have like three to five elves. @Merc4Hire: I have seen a few MOCs on GoH with custom armor and weapons.
