About EbTheGuy

  1. Looks great. It seems that IG-88 may be in a new color, and I think he uses The Eraser's head piece. EDIT- nevermind looking at it again I'm wrong on both of those, but it does look like he has a new print. I also wonder how they attached the sniper to his back. Is Dengar any different, like even something minor like the backpack?
  2. Stop the Hoth hate. I feel so alone on liking it.
  3. What do I have to look up to find it? I only ever saw the generic pilot on Ebay, would love to see Zev.
  4. Bossk is outdated, IG-88 if unchanged would be fine, however its been a while. 4-LOM and Zuckuss currently don't exist in physical form. Dengar was just updated and released last year. I'd really hope Dengar is the placeholder.
  5. Nah just kind of a joke tbh. It wouldn't surprise me though. Lego has pulled tricks like this before. The BH BP will likely come out before the Episode Eight sets, seeing as how it'll use the Rouge One box art, unless that changes last minute. But yeah I agree with this post. It's silly that most sets are already out of stock especially since they waited so long. Reminds me of the Nintendo Switch stock issues at the moment. But I don't mind it as much as others, I live in a small area so sets are still around in good numbers which reminds me, I need to go buy the Landspeeder at Walmart.
  6. inb4 Zuckuss becomes exclusive to a oversized UCS Cloud City playset.
  7. Is anybody a bit disappointed that the bounty hunter pack includes Dengar? Like yeah he's a great fig, but we just got him in a reasonably priced set. Should have got Zuckuss instead. Other than that the set is really good. Waiting on what those final fig designs will be. Glad they still gave IG-88 a sniper.
  8. It's quite different, especially the color and figures. Kind of like comparing the Phantom II to the Separatist Shuttle. Yeah they are the same craft, but having many noticeable differences.
  9. I'm talking about the Episode I ship. Was released in 2007 and could easily be updated now.
  10. Could be, would be interesting. I would then consider getting them. Maybe a rerelease Palace, Rancor Pit to. I only ever got the Skiff of those sets. Maybe they could also add a Droid chamber? I saw that on Ideas once. The fact we didn't get the droid again partially turned me off. Honestly I'd prefer a rerelease of the Republic Cruiser, but that's unrealistic and wishful thinking ultimately leading to a derail of this discussion.
  11. lol I didn't mean to start a debate about a droid's gender. Anyways, I myself don't care much about what the other UCS set is. I don't have the money or space for those, although a new Millennium Falcon does sound cool. If I ever get a UCS set, I would get the Death Star though.
  12. Alright I've been following this thread since day one, bit here's my first time actually posting. I'm not going to do a run down of every set, that would be a wall of text. But in general, I wouldn't mind getting every set. With that being said I'll explain my 5 favorites from both waves. Winter: Imperial Battle Pack- real cool figure selection. OT stormies are great to get plus bonus death troopers. Kind of disappointed with the walker though. If the figure weren't that good, I'd like the rebel one better, but it's figure selection isn't quite as good, no Endor helmet and other repeated parts. Duel on Naboo- I. breath episode I sets and always wanting to get them. (I had stop collecting legos around 2013 though so sadly I have quite a bit of catching up to do) It's pretty good, just wish it was bigger and had some more figs. The Phantom II- Thrawn. He'll look great with Death Troopers. Great build. Those separatist shuttles are some of my favorite in Star Wars. Landspeeder- Not the greatest set or anything, but it has a neat figure collection. Plus I remember the 2009(?) version being one of my favorite sets. It's now dismantled. A-Wing- I had the 2007 one when it came out. I think it was one of the first lego sets I ever got. I had been looking st the 2013 version on brick link but this is better. It looks good and the figures are great, I don't have any of them. Summer: Vader Transformation- Again with nostalgia, I remember wanting the original way back when. Never got it. I have the Emperor Shuttle from 2011 and the figures where cool and the transformation sequence was cool. Is still have most of the figs and the set has been modified. Just disappointed by the downgraded Medical Droid. Republic Fighter Tank- I love Battlefront II and really wanted the original but never found it. Now's my chance, with better figures than before. To bad it's small, and there should be another clone. One of the droids should be a commander, would be more useful IMO. Advent Calendar- I got the first two and I loved them. Wish I kept them all together, sometimes I find mini models fully built on my bins. Really don't mind the BB-8 isn't a unique figure, the Christmas figures are kind of useless. Plus I don't have her yet, so It'll be great to get her. Bounty Hunter Battle Pack- I love all these characters and the build is really cool. Glad it isn't a two seater like a lot of BP speeders. Jedi Starfighter- I think regardless this will be my favorite set. Can't really same much else at the moment. Sorry for this post's length and I'm not sure if it's in a ok format, etc. Just wanted to finally share some of my opinions on this year's sets.
  13. This is my first time posting and I'm just going to give my two cents on this ordeal. It's only a rumor at this point, I don't this anything is concrete or set in stone. I'm not saying it won't end after year two, or end after year three or whatever. Just2good is a pretty good source of info and has been pretty reliable in the past. But people that get insider info aren't always correct. Like Laura Kate Dale, a major Switch leaker. Although she got a lot right, there's still plenty missing that's suppose to happen or has been debunked. Becuase things change. At this point there's no reason to think it's ending or not. There was a rumor that Skylanders was ending, but it ended up just being that they weren't getting a new game this year. Disney Infinity on the other hand was a major last second decision. Plus we have contradictory info from The Brick Show, which I also have no reason to denounce at this point. It'll be interesting what happens in the end but I just hope for the best. So yeah, that's what I have to say.
