  1. Yup, tried that as well. Did download some updates, but didn't seem to help the issue. I also grabbed a couple of other random sets and tried to update prices, and those had the same issues. So, I'm sure isn't something specific to the set.
  2. I've been using Brickstock for a couple of months, and have never had an issue. This morning, I imported a Bricklink inventory for a new set that I wanted to part out, and Brickstock is not downloading many (163 of 439) of the pictures. When I update the prices, it give me 163 errors. These are items that I know have been in stock at Bricklink for a long time. Things like 3708 - Black Technic Axle 12. So, I know it isn't because they don't exist or don't have history. Anyone know if Brickstock is down somehow (though from my understanding, its a script that doesn't require any kind of servers)? Is there anything I should try? Anyone else having the same issue? Maybe Bricklink changed something? Things I know: -I am in online mode -I re-installed just to confirm. Same issue -My internet works Thanks!
  3. Alright, I ordered the pieces I need for the Fork to Fork, and will start on that as my next build. One more question. Balls. Wow. $2-3 a piece for the soccer and basketballs. Trying to figure out if I want to take the plunge there. How many would you suggest to run something like the ball factory (assuming I would need less for Fork to Fork)? I know the orange balls or marbles are cheaper, but I think the designs on the basketballs and soccer balls really add something to the motion.
  4. Thank you everyone for your advice. That explains why the XL motor is cheaper, would be nice if Lego included that info on their description. Anyway, I think I am going to take djm's advice and start with something small. The Fork to Fork looks fun. That will give me something to build and understand before jumping into the Ball Factory. Thank you for those links. That thread is amazing, and I'll be spending a lot of time there. When I was working on researching GBC, Eurobricks was down, so I wasn't able to to view anything here. Glad I waited before I went and bought anything! I'll purchase a medium motor, and look to upgrade later if it turns out that isn't enough for something I'm going to do. Thanks again!
  5. I'm looking into building the famous Ball Factory, but have a little hesitation about the motor. Just in looking at prices, the M is at $7.49, the L is at $13.99, and the XL is at $9.99. My first reaction is to just buy the XL since the price seems to be low, but I'm wondering if there is something I'm missing. Is there a reason the XL is cheaper than the L? While I'm on the topic, I think I'm just going with a battery box for now, to see how much I end up using it. Is there anything else I should pick up? Extensions, etc? This will be my first GBC, so any other advice is welcome!

    Help with identifying parts/sets!

Yes, I know what the liftarm is. I'm wondering if there is a way to identify it as Lego, as I don't see anywhere that the word Lego is printed like on all of their other pieces.

    Help with identifying parts/sets!

Hoping someone can help. -Need an ID on the top item. Can't find it anywhere. -On the bottom item (Technic lift arm), I'm wondering if there is any way to identify if this is a knock-off or not. I bought some stuff at a garage sale, and there are Lego and "others" mixed in (including some offbrand technic pins). I can tell on the pins because the real ones have Lego printed on them, but I can't find anything on the arms. I looked at my new arms that came straight out of a set, and don't see Lego printed on those either. I can't figure out how to post a picture (maybe because I'm new?), so here is the google drive link... https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-leJEzt4wHzbFQzYVF1WEVqYWs/view?usp=sharing

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here

Looking at Bricklinking a 10143 Death Star II. The 4592c05 (light bluish gray lever with light bluish gray base) are ridiculously priced. I am looking at painting some black levers, and am wondering what people have found that matches well. I use Vallejo paints for my other modeling, and it looks like their Sky Grey is really close (RGB 155.161.161 v the Lego RGB 163.162.164). Has anyone had any experience with that color? Does it match pretty well? Any other suggestions?

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here

I just finished gathering everything I need for the Super Star Destroyer from Bricklink, and am looking at the Death Star II next. A couple of questions, hopefully from people who have built and/or own 10143: 1. There are a few pieces that are ridiculously expensive because they have been in limited sets. Wondering what you think these replacements would do to the overall look of the model. I looked through the manual, and I think they would be ok, but would love to hear other opinions. 30364 Tan Hinge Brick 1 x 2 Locking with 1 Finger Vertical End (need 32 of them at about $8 ea) - How would yellow look? Or maybe white? 4592c05 Lever Small Base with Light Bluish Gray Lever (need 16 at about $4 ea) - The problem is the gray/gray. How would a gray base with a black handle look? 3937 Tan Hinge Brick 1 x 2 Base (need 16 at $3.25 ea) - What about yellow or white here? 2. Knowing there is a new Death Star coming out, I'm hesitating getting it at all. Looks like an awesome build though. It sounds like the new Death Star is going to be closer to a play set (like 10188). Any opinions?
