  1. If a place exists, most likely the early generations of Mitgardians had been there first. Before the wars, before the four Guilds were established, the predecessors to the men of the north had shrines and settlements dotting the landscape of Historica. Most of the structures had fallen to rubble due both to age and the battles that ravaged the land. Unknown to many though, was one important shrine in particular. Deep in a cave, in the northern area of Nocturnus, was a small temple. Devoted to one of the Old Gods of the early men, this was the Shrine of Wodinn, the God of War. Legend says the statue still holds the helm and armor of the god, as well as his golden spear, Gungnir. Ulfraut Burrvatnr gathered a small group of his most trusted friends and companions and set out on a pilgrimage to the dark lands. After days of searching, Ulfraut and his companions had found the shrine's entrance. It was dark and damp. One of the pillars had crumbled into a pile in the corner. But there it was. The statue of Wodinn. The great god of his ancestors. Bearing the armor and spear of the god himself. This build is for the Nocturnus Minichallenge, Paying Tribute. This was just about the extent of the grey bricks I own, so I wasn't able to build as extensively as I would have liked, but here it is. I realized after building it did not fit within the size requirements, but what the heck. Mitgardians do it bigger. ;) Comments and criticism are welcome. Thank you for looking, friends.

Thank you friends! I will definitely take your criticism to heart. I agree, I definitely should have added a backdrop, and I will surely work on the ground on any future builds.

  4. Over the years, the small arms stall eventually evolved into a full-fledged forge and store. Gungnir's Point. After many winters of selling arms and protection, Bjorn Hamarmund put his time into learning the trade, to forge the weapons he sells, ensuring quality in every slit, stab, and slice. Gungnir's point was established. I have built multiple slight variations of Gungnir's Point, in order to give an idea of the evolution of the shop. Please don't mind the mess in a couple of the photos. I also wanted to showcase the Mitgardian tribesmen who have allied themselves with Ulfraut. C&C very much welcome, my friends.

  7. Phase 2 of the Age of Mitgardia Challenge. https://www.flickr.c...N06/26372864330 Can anyone help me with inserting it as an image? Space for attachments is used up, and the forum doesn't seem to like the use of Flickr links. Thanks.

  9. While traveling upon a common trade route, Ulfraut happened upon a small group of arms traders from the southern deserts of Kaliphlin.

I hope this is still going? I'd really like to get involved in this. Do the submissions get posted directly to the main GoH thread and linked here? And if so, is there a specific titleing convention that should be used? Many thanks.
  11. Many thanks for the warm welcome!
  12. I, Ulfraut Burrvatnr, declare my allegiance to he Jarl and the Guild of Mitgardia. I was once a king and clan-chief of the lake-lands far to the northwest. I bring with me my kinsmen, as well as arms to aid in the service of this great land. I offer my spear and shield in Her defense. I will proudly fly the Green and Gold banner.
