I never would of thought of this idea but I absolutely love it.

I think it is probably most likely that we will have the opportunity to get one of the new brickhead sets for "free" with Barad Dur, just like we had with Rivendell. I expect they will save the Witch King for Minas Tirith, as the map in Rivendell hints that may be the next set we see :D Can't wait to see the minifigures for the Barad Dur set, especially Sauron; I've waited 12 years for that one, lol.

They did switch them but I think they may be more accurate now. If you prefer the colors they chose in 2012, it is an easy enough swap as you have said:) There are other small color corrections they have made like the dark green on Legolas' torso instead of the less accurate dark brown on the torso released in 2012.

So far there has been brickheads, a $500 D2C Rivendell, and leaks of a prototype ~$400 Barad Dur. I think it is pretty clear this relaunch of the theme is mainly targeting AFOL's (and TFOL's too but probably to a lesser extent, see prices). Playsets therefore seem pretty unlikely IMO. If these sets do sell really well though, I could see LEGO making: CMF series or 2 dedicated to the theme Additional lower price ($100-$200) D2C sets (might be redundant to the below item) Diorama sets (exp. the Bridge of Khazad Dum) Kinetic creature display sets like the Harry Potter theme's Hungarian Horntail, Fawkes, and Hedwig (exp. Witch King's Fell Beast, Great Eagle) Helmet sets like Star Wars (exp. Sauron's Helm, 2nd Age Elven Soldier Helm, Gondor Soldier Helm) Don't get me wrong, I would love to have new playsets for the theme as well but I think if we were going to get some, we would have seen them already being sold alongside the brickheads.

Lord of the Rings Ongoing Discussion

Just a thought, What if we get a set to represent each book title over the next few years? 2023 - Fellowship of the Ring - The new Rivendell set as this is where the fellowship started 2024 - The Two Towers - The prototype Barad Dur leaked from the Survey as this is the tower we have yet to get from LEGO and doubles to give us the lord of the rings, Sauron 2025 - Return of the King - This is purely speculation but Minas Tirith as this is where Aragorn returns to become king Perfectly represents each book/film with a set which also just so happens to be the locations we have asked for and wanted the most. I wonder if we will see a set for the Hobbit. Hopefully some minifigure series to get more characters down the road as well. While I think it is less likely to happen, the bridge of Khazad Dum with Gandalf and Durin's Bane would work well as a diorama set.

LEGO Speed Champions 8 Wide MOCs

I've had this model on the back burner for a while. The pieces used for the mirrors are the only parts that don't exist in the color used (couldn't find a better piece. If someone thinks of a better solution, please let me know). 2016 Dodge Viper ACR stud.io file can be found here: https://bricksafe.com/pages/RakRonDewl/speed-champion-mocs

LEGO Speed Champions 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion

I have been able to stay away from this theme for the most part (I've bought 2) because I could not stand the terrible proportions. This is no longer the case for me. The new 8 stud wide builds look leagues beyond the previous 6 stud wide cars in terms of scale, proportion, and accuracy. I will probably be picking up most if not all of the coming wave and may also get them as gifts in the future. Just thought I would share my thoughts as someone who has always seen potential for the theme but hasn't truly been on board with it until now.

I am modifying my UCS Slave I but I guess my question really wasn't LEGO related was it, sorry.

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here

These are what Jango's Slave I used but Boba Fett's Slave I was rebuilt and I can't find any solid information on whether or not it uses these as well. I think Boba Fett's Slave I may have used space mines in the EU but after the Attack of the Clones and Disney buying Lucas Films, the new cannon might suggest it uses the seismic charges but I can't find anything definite. Maybe seismic charges are considered space mines? All I know is that the Slave I has a minelayer and there are no illustrations of it. This image has the mines listed as seismic charges in the information box (it doesn't really say whether it is Boba's Slave I though) http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/0/09/Slave1TechPlate.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20150825223957 This Link says minelayers use space mines http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Minelayer_(weapon_system)

Does anyone know what kind of "mines" Boba Fett's Slave I uses? I have looked online and have found sites that say it has seismic charges and ones that say space mines. So is it the latter, former, or are they the same thing? Thanks in advance.

    LEGO Nexo Knights 2017 Discussion

I found the clip and think your right about it being an air vehicle. To me it looks kind of like a helicopter, but there is no rotor...? The windscreen on the head must be for the squire-bot and/or battle suit combination. Looking at the scene with the vehicle, it looks more bird-like than dragon. Thanks for pointing that out Boogly22238, I appreciate it.

    LEGO Nexo Knights 2017 Discussion

ToysRUs in the USA, just bought it there the other day. Regarding the silhouettes of the three summer sets in the back of the 2017 sets' instructions: In the top "locked" silhouette, I can just make out Axl protruding from the top. The vehicle also looks like it is based off Axl's crest, using the drill pieces as horns of a bull's head on the front. Lastly from what I can make out, it has linked treads like these supporting the middle and probably wheels in the back. In the middle "locked" silhouette, I can't make out all that much do to it's scale. The vehicle looks like a huge buggy of some sort using these as it's wheels https://www.bricklink.com/PL/2515.jpg?1. Through the process of elimination, I think this vehicle belongs to Aaron as each knight has one vehicle depicted here for the combinations. In the bottom "locked" silhouette, I can make out Macy's helmet at the top/middle under this screen https://www.bricklink.com/PL/6070.gif?0. The vehicle looks defiantly dragon inspired but I cannot tell if it is a ground or air vehicle. It has a mace https://www.bricklink.com/PL/98578.jpg?1 ended tail on the back. The rest of the build I cannot make out. Anyone notice anything else?

LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors

I looked up images for Boba Fett's ROTJ helmet and you are right that it is darker than the ESB version but it doesn't look to be quite as dark as the armor. So with existing colors, olive green would have probably been a better color choice. Sand green looks perfect for the ESB version though, so I am not sure why you say a recolor should have come earlier unless your referring to the previously released skiff. As for the colors of the skiff and Sarlacc, I agree with you. Besides the odd color choices the set does look more accurate, then previous versions, to the movies IMO.

LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors

Boba Fett wears a different suit in The Return of the Jedi. This suit has gray sleeves and pants, a blue jet pack, red gauntlets, and a different cape. The gloves are gray but have tan fabric on the back of them. So I believe this is accurate to the film except for his jet pack not being blue. I am torn whether to get the set or wait until he gets his red gauntlets printed on.
