    Marvel Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

£75 for this set compared to the first X-Jet set which and costed £45 in 2014, had a Sentinel, 23 fewer pieces and same number of minifigures. That's 67% increase! Anytime anyone argues these are children's toys - these are not children's prices Unless you are a super fortunate child from a very privileged family ahah

Those LEGO Fortnite designs are really great! Hope this increases our odds of physical minifigure versions of Phoenix, Gambit, Cable, Domino, Psylocke, and Silver Surfer. Love the redesigns for MJ, Daredevil, Green Goblin, Gamora, and Taskmaster. Can anyone work out who the female minifigure in black with red eyes and black hair next to Daredevil is?

Zola would be great to have been styled in a regular superheroes set. Along with classic Rhino, Bizarro, Doomsday .....

    Marvel Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

Hello all, The X-Mansion next year is keeping my interest in this theme as it marks the return of the X-Men after nearly a decade, hinted by this year's CMF. The rooms of ther X-Mansion I would like included are: Rooms Classrooms Personalised dorms for main X-Men Cerbero Danger Room Medical bay Further, below is my desired and reasonable list for the X-Mansion minifugres (alongside their justifications in parentheses and whether I would introduce new moulds / pieces) based off the current leaks and context within popular culture. Equally this list of minifigures is what I would design if comissioned by the LEGO Group to balance creativity and profits by maximising the interest and marketability in this set without skyrocketting the cost by introducing new moulds / pieces. X-Men Professor X (new, his mansion, pre-existing moulds for wheelchair) Wolverine (most popular X-Men member, pre-existing moulds) Storm (X-Men films, pre-existing moulds) Cyclops (X-Men films, original X-Men member, pre-existing moulds) Jean Grey (new, X-Men films, original X-Men member, pre-existing moulds) Beast (X-Men films, original X-Men member, pre-existing moulds from CMF) Angel (new, X-Men films, original X-Men member, new for wings similar to Falcon) Iceman (new, X-Men films, original X-Men member, new mold for ice-head similar to Ghost Rider) Rogue (new, X-Men movies, X-Men animated show, pre-existing moulds) Gambit (new, X-Men movies, X-Men animated show, pre-existing moulds) Jubilee (new, X-Men animated show, pre-existing moulds) Colossus (new, Deadpool films, pre-existing moulds) Shadowcat (new, X-Men animated show, pre-existing moulds) Brotherhood of Mutants Magneto (X-Men films, pre-existing moulds) Mystique (new, X-Men films, new mold for hair and skull headrdess) Sabretooth (new, X-Men films, Wolverine anatgonist, pre-existing moulds for claws) White Queen (new, X-Men films, pre-existing moulds) Juggernaut (new, X-Men films, new bigfid mould) Pyro (new, X-Men films, Iceman antagonist, new mold for fire-head similar to Ghost Rider) Toad (new, X-Men films, new mould for tail similar to Rocket Raccooon) Note that I expect the X-Mansion to be at least the size of DC's Arkham Asylum and at most Marvel's Avengers Tower releasing next month. A minifigure count of 19 lies between the count of these two sets. A price point for around £350 between the Daily Bugle and Avengers Tower taking into account the cost of new moulds. Note also that I have collected LEGO Marvel Superheroes sets since its inception in 2012 and have desired X-Men and Fantastic Four sets for over a decade. Since the inception of this theme I have started and finished secondary school, college, and university; I have experience my first love and had my heart broken; I have travelled to countries; and I have moved house 7 times. With both this Marvel theme and DC theme, patience is a virtue as there are many characters yet to be translated into physical LEGO minifigures (even though they have been designed for videogames) and their existence often depends on their appearance in popular films. I simultaneously love the MCU for its unprecedented cinematic continuity, appeal to mainsteam audiences, and impact on popular culture; and appreciate Marvel comics for its legacy, diversity, and unboundedness in storytelling. I appreciate any creativity and originality in this theme in both set design and minifigure selection, and I am welcome to any comments or critques. Like many, I am bored of repititions of Outriders, Chitauri, AIM agents, and Hulkbusters; and reliance on MCU movies to design sets. (Who decided that Eternals deserves more sets than X-Men or Fantastic Four?) Finally, note also that we all pay hard-earned money for LEGO so we are all welcome to ask for improvements deserving of money. LEGO is one of the best brands in our world as it inspires creativity and imagination; applies the practicality of logic and methodology; and most importantly promotes the joys, innocence, and playfulness of being a child in an adult world. PS: Whos' excited for "Deadpool 3", "Loki: Season 2", "Avengers: Kang Dynasty", and "Avengers: Secret Wars"? MCU may finally be back on-track after some middling easily avoidable mis-steps.

    Marvel Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

As clearly stated, I'm talking about the Marvel Superheroes theme in general, which includes movie, TV series, and comics inspired sets. I'm aware that this CMF is *literally* based on Marvel Studios projects. Thanks for understanding my comment!:)

    Marvel Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

After seeing the leaked images of the new Marvel CMF series, I'm so excited for the new X-Men minifgures. Getting Beast for the first time in LEGO form is a huge win and hopefully it will mean more LEGO X-Men sets in the near future! As much as I love the MCU, I'm tired of getting D-list characters from the MCU and hopeful for more classic Marvel characters such as the X-Men and the Fantastic Four - and their respective rogues galleries! This is a Marvel theme after all not just an MCU theme:/

I'll happily take a Wolverine minifgure in every X-Men set going forward if it meant we were getting more X-Men sets with new characters! Beast will be the first new X-Men minifgure since the Blackbird set 9 years ago! (Firestar from the Daily Bugle doesn't really count as she is more associated as one of Spider-Man's amazing friends than as one of the X-Men)

So happy that the X-Men are getting some love from LEGO (and that "What-If...?" isn't wasting a third of the selection)! This minifigure selection is solid, although would have prefered a larger wave, for example 16 or 20 minifgures, to include more supervillains. Sometimes I feel like Marvel needs to remember that supervillains are a big draw to why people love the comic book genre, not just superheroes.

    Marvel Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

Yes, because kids are desperate for a £200 Black Panther bust and £475 Hulbuster! It is true that the majority of sets are targeted towards kids, but LEGO are extremely aware of their large adult audience as evidenced by their choice to produce expensive, older rated sets. LEGO should be able to balance the desires of both kids and adults in a wide variety of sets, but recently their choices for the adult audience have been lacking. If kids love buildable figures and 4+ sets and they sell well then that's great - LEGO can produce as many of these as they want! But also retain your adult audience. Fewer people this forum would be complaining if we get buildable figures in addition to regular system sets, for example with "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania". Ultimately, each set should be highly desirable if they expect us to part with hundreds of pounds of hard-earned money.

    Marvel Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

It's a real shame that there seems to be no regular system LEGO set for "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" since it would be great to get our first Kang the Conqueror figure, as well as the fact that this is one of the last opportunities to get minifigures for Hank Pym, Janet van Dyne, and Cassie Lang. Further, it's criminal that we are 11 years into this theme and we have only have one Wasp minifigure - especially as she is one of the founding members of the Avengers in the comics! We've had more Mantis minifigures and Captain Carter minifigures than Wasp minifigures!

    Marvel Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

Honestly a large, detailed, X-Mansion with desirable, long-awaited minifgures would make my year! I would love minifgures for Professor X, Jean Grey, Beast, Iceman, Rogue, Angel, Nightcrawler, Cable, Gambit, Shadowcat, Mystique, Sabretooth, Pyro, Toad, White Queen, Omega Red, Silver Samurai, and Mr Sinister; as well as bigfigs for Colossus, Juggernaut, Apocalypse, and the Blob. The "LEGO Marvel Superheroes" videogame gave us character designs for most of these characters a decade ago! These leaks are giving me hope that this theme will explore new ground - I do not need nor want another Hulkbuster or Quinjet

Further evidence that Shuri is the new Black Panther (at least for this film). I'm pretty sure the people who are eating their words are those who said that she wasn't the new Black Panther for this film.

    Marvel Superheroes 2022 - Rumors & Discussion

I think this is is more likely in the "For" column than "Against" for evidence that Shuri is the new Black Panther (for this film). Black and purple costume (just like Black Panther usually has) plus gold highlights on the boots (just like the final shot in the trailer). She also appears in all the sets shown so far as the main protagonist.

Yes, M'Baku's comic book supervillain name is White Gorilla - although the MCU has portrayed him more as a hero!
