It looks very much like a sticker, it has some thickness to it: -

He's talking bout the sticker with the key figures: This is different from a UCS set, where the sticker is applied to a separate support. -

Very nice replica of the set. Regarding this set being cancelled, it did actually show up in Nuremberg in late January! In this , if you watch carefully, you'll see it on the screen behind the Lego employee: It might eventually show up later than expected. -

No way there are two color schemes in the box, changing only the panels would leave you with lots of beams and lift arms in a different color. Including two sets of all the pieces required to change the livery would increase the the part count by at the very least 25%. The only color-related speculation I might buy into is a limited edition in prototype livery and a standard color for a standard set (and although I hope it turns out to be true, I'm not holding my breath on that). -
Not even close, 10188 stuck around for more than 7 years.

Well, I feel like Lego hates France, hiking up the price of Slave 1 and trying to offload that abomination of Assault on Hoth at a "discount"...
-
I don't know where you got those numbers from, but Slave 1 is 219,99 and Assault on Hoth 249.99 in France.

Lava Orange is the showcased color : http://www.porsche.c...s/uk.aspx#intro 8110 and 42030 are not products that anyone can recognize at first sight. They are well known among enthusiasts, but they have nowhere near the fame of a 911. Also, the colors on 8110 and 42030 are almost exactly the same as the real models. That's not the case for Lava Orange, Lego's Bright Orange (id-106) is not red enough IMO. Finally, this set seems to be given some sort of exclusive treatment so far, I don't see why TLG would not issue a new color for it, never to be seen again. -

If it's Lava Orange (I think it will be), it definitely won't be the standard Lego Orange. Manufacturers have patents on their colors. Porsche will not allow TLG to release a product that does not comply with all their graphic design guidelines. That would weaken the brand in their eyes. You have to remember that this is a Lego product as much as it is a Porsche product. -

Because BT would allow to control functions from a variety of devices, like an iPad, a smartphone or a computer, etc. just like you can program the EV3 brick from an iPad already. -

Largest Technic set but 5th largest Lego set (Taj Mahal > UCS MF > Ghost Buster's HQ > Tower Bridge > 42055). -

I would expect a 7+R gearbox from such a high standard model, it's been done by sheepo on his Veyron, the possibility is very real. -

You also have to consider that it's a perfect starter kit, you get a lot of track links, pins, liftarms, panels, axles, gears, an XL motor and 4 wheels and a steering wheel. You can pretty much build anything with the amount of pieces included. -

Looks like it from the low quality photo of what's under the hood: Could be both the HoG (as a drop in tool) and the steering wheel linkage. -

My bet is there's an angled piece, possibly a thin lift arm, behind that actuates it when you pull the shift down paddle. -
