I hope this is the right place to ask this, but I've been thinking of making a sort-of custom minifigure of Pharah without her helmet. And so far it seems like this hairpiece would fit her the best So I was wondering if anyone who has her and this hairpiece could take a pic of her wearing it so I could see if it looks good? Or if anyone has a suggestion for a hairpiece that would work better?

EB Xmas Raffle 2017 - Your ideal Christmas tree entry thread

A christmas tree made out of ice! -
I have been using bubble mailers but they still want to charge me for a package The weight isn't an issue, it doesn't affect the cost too much but as soon as they classify it as a package the cost doubles. I'm not sure I can qualify as a small business, I haven't sold that much yet haha. I checked online to see how much it would cost to ship it and put that as the shipping cost, but I thought I'd be able to ship it as a large envelope so my estimate was too low. Yeah, I ended up paying the difference, I'd never ask someone to pay more than what they already have because of my miscalculation. I did adjust the shipping cost though because I'd end up losing money if I didn't, but now I'm worried people won't want to buy because the shipping cost is almost double what the actual charms cost.

So I've started making little phone charms as a hobby and to (hopefully) make some money on the side, and to reach a wider audience I decided to offer international shipping. Problem is, I've had no experience using it before and ended up paying twice what I posted as the shipping cost. I thought I would be able to ship it as a large envelope, but when I went to the post office the person behind the counter insisted it had to be shipped as a "package" which costs twice as much(which frankly is ridiculous, the things I'm selling are tiny and flat.) So I refused and went home and looked online for a cheaper option, but nothing would allow me to fill out a customs form without having my shipment being classified as a "package" and from there nothing was cheaper than $13. So the reason I'm posting this on a Lego forum is because I've made several international purchases via Bricklink of things like minifigures that had reasonable international shipping costs (around $5-6) and minifigures are a lot more bulky than what I'm trying to ship so I think I'm missing something here and I'm hoping someone here has some experience with this sort of thing and can help me. Or does the US just... not have a cheap way to ship internationally? TL;DR I'm trying to find a way to ship small things from the US without spending a fortune.

Interesting! Too bad you can't remove the old arms without destroying them though, I'd love to be able to interchange them.

This was something I noticed waiting in line too, kids always seemed to win the figs... Now that you mention this it seems kinda fishy. I mean it makes sense they don't want kids to be disappointed, but I doubt most parents will be letting them keep and play with a figure that's worth $150+, which makes the whole situation even sadder. And if it is indeed rigged, that's extremely shady, no matter the circumstances. Maybe just give the figures a printed SDCC stand or something. Or something like they did with Yoda, have an already available character and give them an exclusive SDCC t-shirt piece or something. Then collectors have something without completely screwing over the rest of the fans of said character.

Some guy on ebay's selling like 10 of Vixen even though it's supposed to be limited to one per person. How greedy can you get? Like I get if it's a family all entering because they want one but this person just got them to sell them. Ugh. I know I need to make like Elsa and let it go but this makes me so frustrated.

My friends say I look like a mermaid, and whenever they see something with a mermaid on it they tell me it's me. Especially if said mermaid is blonde. Also just a cool looking minifig. The other guys in the background were just on my desk at the time so I threw them in there. Also cool looking minifigs.

I usually check toysnbricks.com, mostly for news on upcoming sets but they do post about sales and deals.

I spent 2 and a half hours waiting in line and all I got was a sunburn. And I was one of the few lucky that even had a chance at getting one without paying $150+. And of course 90% of them are up on ebay now. Sorry for the rant, I'm super salty I hate scalpers and I hate this whole "super exclusive" nonsense.

Mine got here too, thanks so much for the amazing figs!

Thanks! Looks like I did get manatee B.
