This would be amazing. All I’m looking for from LEGO/Marvel is x-men sets based off the comics/animated series. Really hoping the rumored mansion becomes a set. Obviously I’ll be picking up wolverine, beast, and storm from the CMF line. I agree the buildable figures aren’t worth getting. At least include their respective minifigs in the sets…

This may have already been mentioned here, but I can’t find it so just in case it hasn’t been - whether we get x men sets or not will depend on if Disney brings the characters back and makes them popular again. This was per one of their designers. Disney+ is bringing back the old animated cartoon this fall with at least 2 new seasons. That could help a lot towards x men sets in the future!

The leaked list of minifigs for the x men mansion appears to include all 3 figures in the minifigure series that was just confirmed. It would be nice to know before getting the individual figures if they will all show up in the mansion set later so we don’t end up with doubles. I know the chances of getting anything from TLG in this regard is slim, so hopefully they are at least different skins.

I don’t usually post here outside of the historic theme. I am a purist castle fan and feel all my time and money should be spent there and on those sets. You know, trying to show TLG castle is still in demand. What better way than to vote with my wallet right? That being said, I am a huge x men fan. Especially of the old comics and tv shows I was into as a kid. If these figs and (hopefully) sets are based off those, I’m actually going to buy a non-castle set. In fact, I will buy all of them. Never thought I’d see the day. Touche LEGO. I hear rumors of a mansion set?! That’s fantastic news! I hope it includes the danger room!

This GWP release will be the perfect time to pick up Rivendell! I was just waiting for a reason, above the set being so awesome in general, to make the $500 plunge. The return of dragon knights or black knights does seem unlikely given how many current new (old) factions they can choose from. Oh well this is still a win!

This is wishful thinking but watching TLG bring back many of the classic factions recently like crusaders, falcons, and forest men makes me want them to bring back the rest! This set would be perfect to reintroduce another faction or two, say a couple new black nights to guard the village and perhaps a wolf pack or two to cause the knights problems?!

Awesome set! Not a huge fan of the stickers and I think the lion knights castle is a better parts pack, so I will keep buying multiples of those. I will still pick up a copy of Rivendell to have the entire fellowship and those new fern pieces! Thank you LEGO for another castle set! Keep up the good work!

I am stoked for this set! TLG has been killing it with castle sets recently. This village looks to be a good balance of civilian and castle pieces if treated as a parts pack. The most interesting parts for me will be the goat (color?) and the knights (faction?). Looks like the flags on the tower are red and yellow, so presumably lion knights. Could be a placeholder tho. Either way it is double the size of MMV and is more detailed. Hope this leak makes its way to production.

The set number suggests it will be a lego icons set and not part of a wave of lotr sets… still cool tho

Its hard to imagine which figs will be included here. The price point should get us about 20 figs, and the fellowship only has 9. Add Elrond and Arwen and…? Maybe they could add a few more from the scene where they all sit around the ring and decide what to do with it. There were more elves, dwarves, and men than the 9 in the fellowship there. Or they could have Arwen being chased by the Nine. Potentially a cool play feature with the water rushing at them in the form of horses! Either way we should get some good landscaping with this set. Honestly I wasn’t too impressed by the original LOTR sets. Only ended up buying helms deep. Had some good castle pieces if nothing else. Looking forward to a reboot! But if the sets are anything like before I will just opt for more copies of 10305. Gonna be hard to beat that one.

Hard to say what this means for future middle earth sets. Look at classic castle - nothing for 10 years and then bam we get 2 castles and a blacksmith. I don’t think a huge license like LOTR will end up with only one real set, so maybe they will release another set or two over the next couple years similar to classic castle? Really don’t know what TLG is thinking. Clearly they aren’t thinking like me who wants more castle stuff more often.

I think a micro scale set is unlikely given the amount of detail in previous LOTR mini figs. I don’t think they would abandon all the work that went into producing those to make a new set that wouldn’t use them. I also hope for Minas Tirith, but castle has had such a good run lately they may not want to oversaturate the market with another one. I hope they do tho.

It was. They recently increased prices on a few sets. The microscale harry potter castle was $400 but is now $470.

Looks like the online US store upped the purchase limit to 5! Not sure if thats good cause we can buy more or bad cause they arent selling. Hopefully they are selling well and TLG just produced enough sets.
