The Greatest Collectible Minifigure THANKS AND GOODBYE

I just noticed I accidentally voted for the Satyr instead of the Scarecrow. That was brilliant. But fortunately it doesn't look like it's going to matter. Once the results are finalized it would be interesting to do a quick poll where everyone simply lists their Top 10, then weight the rankings (10 points for the #1 position down to 1 point for the #10 position) and add up the results. I'd be curious to see how different they are from this style of poll.

The scarecrow was in the lead after 48 hours, which had been the normal voting window. But if it's that much of an issue, the mods could check the server logs and see if the IPs for the two accounts in question match any of the IPs for the other accounts that voted. Either way I feel bad for Itaria. He put a lot of work into this and now the results are going to be contested. On the bright side though: LOL the Elf lost.

Why the Elf doesn't deserve to win 1. He's not unique. 2. He's just Legolas with short hair 3. He doesn't deserve much credit for being the first elf released by Lego. He was released shortly before the first LotR and Hobbit sets were released, and it's almost certain that he was based off of the elves from the LorR and Hobbit sets (not the other way around) and just happened to be released first.

The Scarecrow's in my Top 5 CMFs. Nice to see it pull decisively ahead. Now on to defeat that worthless Legolas impersonator.

Favorites to win the whole thing: 1. Scarecrow 2. Tiki If the generic elf wins there's going to be blood in the streets.

It's interesting how Greco-Roman and Castle figs are dominating the Top 16 so far. I've always wondered why Lego never released a dedicated Greco-Roman line. It must not test that well with kids.

I'm surprised at the popularity of the elf given how many elves there were in the LOTR and Hobbit lines.

Disney Collectible Minifigures Series 1 Discussion

I finally found them for the first time today in a Toys R Us. I think collectors and scalpers in the Bay Area are out in force with this series. They only had one box that was about 3/4 full, and all the Maleficents had been sniped from it. This series is easy to feel though so thankfully it only took me ten minutes to find the ones I wanted (Alice, Cheshire, Stitch, and Ursula).
  13. Lord Vampire's Bride was likely inspired in part by the old Italian horror movie Black Sunday, which is about a vampire-witch. Is that blood spill under the basket a Lego part? That's exactly what I need for what I'm working on.

    Favorite Collectable Minifigure?

When it comes to Lego, for whatever reason, I love all things Halloween, so my favorite minifigs across all product lines are: 1. Lord Vampyre's Bride 2. Banshee 3. Scarecrow 4. Spooky Girl
