Thanks for the clarification. I hadnt realized that the Sanctum was confirmed and NOT the 500 D2C. Do we have any other specifics about the Sanctum then? Like, is it another D2C, or a very large set? -

So far, we still have no specific info on what the $500 D2C Marvel set is yet, correct? I know the Hulkbuster Ironman set has been confirmed, but i thought i had heard mention of a new Dr Strange Sanctum. Is that rumor, or another possibility of what the big D2C set will be? -

Gotcha, thank you. I missed the Hulkbuster set too as an option, very cool. Hopefully that will come with a few minifigures, not just 1 like the last large Hulkbuster set. The heavily rumored Sanctum is probably going to be released in May/June, correct? What about the Hulkbuster and possible Marvel $500 sets, when were they going to be released, do we think? -

So, are we getting 2 or 3 D2C Marvel sets this year? I think i have seen both options rumored. I know the rumors, so far, are an Avengers Tower, and now this Sanctum, is there a third? -
The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
Dunedain replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
I bought one, and got one for free. I decided to put one up on ebay, just to recoup some of the $50 I spent to get the "free" one. I think I was fair with my price on ebay, especially since it literally sold in 10 minutes. I listed it for $34.99 with free shipping, and I threw in 2 random LBM CMF's for free with it. So, the person who bought it, got the exclusive set, and 2 free minifigures. I honestly, don't know which 2 they were. I have a bunch of unopened LBM cmf's, and literally grabbed 2 at random, without even feeling the packaging, so it truly was random, and threw them in with the listing. It sold in 10 minutes, lol. I think it was a very fair price, all things considered. -
I couldn't agree more. When I heard everyone moaning, and complaining about the price, I got nervous. Then when I saw the set, realized the piece count, and also how big it is, at literally 2 feet wide, I didn't get what all the fuss was. Its a steal, especially if you go by piece count. The set is huge, is FULL of playability, looks great, has new features, and pieces, and finishes off the Batman movie line perfectly. I usually tend to buy 2 sets of the bigger sets, like Arkham and Batcave, and combine them into one even larger set. I do NOT think I will be doing that with this one. Not cause its bad, but because its so GOOD, and big enough, that I don't need to. That all being said, the one place I am disappointed in, with this set, is the mini-figures. There is not really one mini-figure that I am in love with. They are pretty redundant, and in a few cases, exact replicas from other sets, which I already own. I would have preferred more exclusive villains, instead of a bunch of the same characters in white disco outfits, but it is what it is. I will still buy it, and I think its a GREAT deal, at a great price, for a great set, that I cant wait to get.

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion

That would be awesome, that being said, we could always Bricklink the Joker pieces to Jokerize it. I could see a TON of Mods being made that way. Either way, if its a regular or Joker version, its a MUST BUY. Heck, I bought 2 Arkhams, and made one nice big one, outta them, so most likely I would buy at least 2 Wayne Manors, possibly even 3 or 4, if its done really well. I would make it huge, and full interiors, as well. Honestly, I like my buildings, which I usually always turn into Gotham city buildings, to have fully accessed interiors. I mod all my Modular buildings to not have floors removed, but instead I remove the rear walls, and make it so they can be hinged open, usually combining 2 or 3 together. Will probably do the same with the Wayne Manor, IF it really is the D2C. -

I would actually be disappointed if it was that, honestly. I am a huge LOTR fan, too, but I don't want that for a LBM D2C. Bring on Wayne Manor, or Jokers Wayne Manor, PLEASE. Heck, even a giant energy plant, just as long as its Batman/DC related and from the movie. Just my 2 cents. -

EXACTLY!!! I don't know why so many people are thinking that a 2nd CMF wont work, or have enough figures to do. Its actually, quite the opposite. Between Bat variants, and villains we haven't gotten, you could fill up a series. Plus, if its released in Jan 18th, that's only 6 or 7 months from the release of the DVD. Its still well within marketing time frames, and the DVD will help push sales. Its a GREAT idea, and they WILL sell. Granted, I live in the NYC/NJ area, but the stores around me, like TRUs, and such, had DOZENS of FULL CMF series sets, and they have been long sold out, with none left. Also, the 2 or 3 TRU's around me, put the latest LBM series on the shelves early, because the 1st wave sets have been selling so good, they needed to put something on the shelves. -

CThis is great news. I am so glad they are making a 3rd wave. Also a 2nd CMF series, is pure joy. I don't care what anybody says, the LBM, and Batman in general, is such a hit, that the 3rd wave, and 2nd CMF's, WILL sell, and sell well. It doesn't matter that it would be a year sine the movies release, its still going to be hot. Also, in theory, its only going to be released 6 to 7 months from the DVD release of the movie, so its still within a realistic timeframe. I am really, really, hoping though, that there is going to be this 2nd CMF series. I loved, and own every set/figure from TLBM, and the CMF series was my favorite part. A second one will be a dream come true. I truly hope this isn't just speculation, and the 2nd series is for real. -

That's a good question, but I am really not sure. Off the top of my head, I am not sure if its monthly or quarterly, so then it would mean how much I spent in a month or within 3 months, and obviously that can be a big difference. That being said, I think if you spend about $100 or $200 with 3 months, and or 1 month for sure, you would get a 20 percenter. You are guaranteed a 5 to 10% just for spending between $20 to $50 with some months time. I just give my phone number with every TRU purchase, to get "credit", and whatever they send, they send. Not too sure of the exact numbers though, sorry. -

Oh it ABSOLUTELY is. Its FREE to get the rewards card from TRU, so you honestly have nothing to lose. Also, don't confuse it with the TRU credit card. That's totally different, and is obviously just a credit card, but thru TRU. What this is, is called the rewards card. Its free to sign up. I did it awhile ago, so I cant say exactly how quickly it took to get it/sign up, but I know it was done right at the register, and probably takes all of 2 minutes to do. Its tied in with your phone number, and all you do is simply give your phone number, or the card itself, every time you buy something at TRU. 9 times outta 10 the person at the register asks if you have a rewards card, anyway. So when you give whatever phone number you tied in with the rewards card, every time you buy something, it must calculate all your purchases, and if you buy a lot, you are usually sent anywhere from 10% to 20% of your next purchase. At a minimum, it seems like you at least always get a 5% coupon no matter what. Honestly though, the way I look at it, is it kinda balances out, cause TRU's prices are most times 5 to 10% higher than elsewhere, but sometimes they are the same as somewhere else, and you really are getting a discount. You definitely should do it. Next time you are in TRU just sign up for their rewards program. You can do it right at the register. -

@ BrickHat it was actually my "rewards" points coupon. You know, like if you have the TRU rewards card, and every time you buy something you give em the card, or your phone number, and based on how much you spend with them, every few months you get your rewards "coupon". It may even be monthly, not sure. Either way, luckily my latest rewards coupon was 20%, which was perfect timing for finding theses sets, lol. Although, getting a 20% rewards means I must of spent a decent amount with TRU the month or so before, lol.
