  1. Hello, folks! It is with great satisfaction that I finally present the result of my most complete and detailed work that I have done to this day in the hobby: the reproduction of the old building of the Santa Casa de Misericórdia of Juiz de Fora-MG, dated 1900. There were 310h of assembling, distributed in almost 2 years of planning, more than 32000 pieces used in a work with dimensions of 1, 67cm x 0, 98cm x 0, 51cm, weighing about 35kg. I tried to follow the minifigure scale and reproduce, with the building solutions that I could find or develop, the maximum details of the building of the time aiming to accomplish the greatest visual impact possible to the public. Having this concept as a focus, I transformed a work into two, with two completely different points of view. From the front, we can observe the classic hospital building, whole and imposing. Behind it, a cut in the building shows its fragmented interior in different environments and depicting scenes from the old days in a very lively manner. We can perceive in the center a meeting of the Brotherhood, a common group that governs all the Santa Casas, in the Ombudsman's room with a sample of typical furniture of the time, as well as in the corridors of access to the surgical center, wards and pharmacy. The motivation that led me to reproduce another historical building with LEGO pieces continues to be the awakening of the collective consciousness to the importance of preserving the historical heritage and its cultural legacy. Unfortunately the building reproduced no longer exists, but that isn’t a reason not to value its history and memory. However, for this case, a special motivation facilitated the work: the celebration of the 165 years of the founding of the Santa Casa de Misericórdia of Juiz de Fora and the 170 years of the city of Juiz de Fora-MG, my beloved homeland. The next step, as laborious as building the sculpture, will be organizing an exhibition inside the hospital that shows not only LEGO pieces, but also its playful potential to inspire people to know their own story. Train MOCs and Builders - Who/What is Your Inspiration?

São João del-Rei Train Station was a great project that I built 4 year ago to celebrate the 300 years anniversary of foundation of the historical city in my region with the same name . I was living in São Paulo, Brazil and had the opportunity to participate of the Expo LUG Brasil 2014 edition. Untill now people ask me to built other train stations and I really intend to do that soon. Good to see it here as an inspiration on this topic. Thanks for sharing and remind me! :)
  3. Thanks for the messages and suggestions, guys! I hope keep building and improving my techniques.
  4. Hello, everyone! After 2 long years of testing the pieces in the LDD and in the ABS, slow international deliveries, lack of opportunity of building due to my intense work routine and creative gaps, I finally have the pleasure to share my last creation with you: The 4 faces of Giza. I am very passionate for ancient civilizations and since I was a Kid I have always wanted to build something that could refer to the ancient Egypt and nothing more appealing to reproduce than the The Great Pyramid at Giza and its iconic Sphinx. This is not new in the Lego world. There are works with similar techniques on layouts full of scenes and miniatures. As the focus has always been the works and not the surroundings, the final visual impact is very beautiful to my eyes and I am pleased with the outcome. This project supposed to be exhibited at the LUG Brasil Expo in 2016, but due to the reasons mentioned above it will only be possible to show this year. I guarantee that seeing it live is even prettier than the pictures. The name MOC is due to 4 different moments in the history: a more remote, at the time of the sphinx inauguration in the presence of the Pharaoh, a past one when the Middle East commercial routes passed through the ancient Egypt, a scenarium which represents the current touristic flow in the surroundings of the pyramid and a fictional future which addresses the theory that this mysterious construction was and will be again, a mean of communication between the human race and the stars beings. Enjoy the pictures! :) The Great Pyramid at Giza and Sphinx 1 by Adolfo, no Flickr The Great Pyramid at Giza and Sphinx 2 by Adolfo, no Flickr The Great Pyramid at Giza and Sphinx 3 by Adolfo, no Flickr The Great Pyramid at Giza and Sphinx 4 by Adolfo, no Flickr The Great Pyramid at Giza and Sphinx 5 by Adolfo, no Flickr The Great Pyramid at Giza and Sphinx 6 by Adolfo, no Flickr The Great Pyramid at Giza and Sphinx 7 by Adolfo, no Flickr [/quote]

    Hügel Tavern

Hello, everyone! This is my entry for another contest at LUG Brasil. It is also part of a bigger MOC that I will show in Expo LUG Brasil, in November, in São Paulo. The castle fans around here are preparing a very cool collaborative display for this theme. I believe we are going to have more than 10 people building something big for that. In other words, a lot of fun! I always wanted to build a tavern in LEGO and this challenge was a very good opportunity to practice others construction techniques and roof. In fact, I loved the final result of this roof with orange plates! I think that in live the MOC is much more beautiful because of the color scheme. This time I was smarter and built the entire modular work on 32x32 baseplates and everything fits very easily, including the roof, which is a unique piece, facilitating the transport too, my karma in LEGO! If you would like to see the details of it or check other MOCs, go on my Flickr profile and have fun! LEGO can really show the world the heritage of each country like a piece of art. Your MOC is fantastic! I loved the natural elements. Congrats!
