I submit to your attention the photoreview of a novelty of 2013 - 60018 Cement Mixer!

Set details:

Theme - City

Subtheme - Traffic

Year released - 2013

Pieces - 221

Minifigs - 2

The first Cement Mixer (7990) left in 2007! Though it also was popular, but in comparison with this model was very simple:

7990-1.jpg

New Cement Mixer made more functional and more plausible!

The box by the sizes not big, but is filled with details completely that happens quite seldom!

Box face:

The back party of a box - functional features of a set are shown:

Face party of a box:

Let's pass to box contents:

- two packages with details:

- pretty thick instruction:

- details without packages and a sticker:

At a set are present both new details, and rare:

Well here and the first disappointment - the rejected detail "wheel"! The benefit of such details at me is a lot of!

In a set there are two minifigs:

- the builder - a new face looks perfectly!

- the driver - anything new.

Now we will pass to set assembly.

Cement Mixer is built!

By the way, here, in my opinion, new details as cement better would approach:

Let's consider the turned-out model in all its aspects:

All set assembled:

Mode of supply of cement:

That pimples (cement) started dropping out of a mixer, it is necessary to twist the handle setting in motion a mixer:

In a set there are a lot of extra-details:

As a bonus - a small update of minifigs:

Everyone will define pluses and minuses for itself(himself)! For me the most important pluses are - excellent functionality of a set and more plausible model цементовоза! Minus only one - the rejected detail! This minus isn't essential to me, but at whom this set will be the first Lego the designer, will be disappointed!

I wait for your comments!

Excuse me for my bad English!

Again, like I said in the other review, Great Review! Sorry about the messed up part you got, never happened to me yet. This looks like a good set since i never got the first cement mixer. Might I ask where you got these sets, I'm not quite sure I'm willing to pay the ToysRUs markup yet. I haven't seen the new sets anywhere but TRU yet.

Thanks for the review, mifody. This set looks like it's got great playability. Another one for the "must-have" list.

Another excellent review 'mifody' and thanks for doing it too.......this in my opinion is the best one of the '12/'13 series by far.

I totally new way of building a truck cab that also tilts to expose the engine.....plus the cement delivery system is so realistic !

First on the 2013 list I have this one......I can't actually fault it. :sweet:

Good review. This set is a "must buy" for me since I missed out on the old cement mixer. I've been wanting to get the old one but this seems like a more than capable replacement.

Great review mifody. I really like this truck compared to the older one, much more detailed. I wish TLG would make all of their cab-over trucks with the tilt feature. I really like adding engines to models :classic:

At us in Russia in toy stores of a novelty appeared a little earlier than at you! Not TRU!

Thanks for the nice review.

I admit I am not a fan of the clone like light coloured minifig face,I much prefer the classic yellow colour.

It would be interesting to see if you could motorise the drum using a micro motor and one of the old 9v battery boxes.

Nice review, but a small correction. I think this is the 3th cement mixer, in 1985 there was set 6682. I had two of them when I was a kid, that's why I can remember there was another mixer

Great review . .

It's a pretty good set, the only fault I've noticed (with play) is the mixer comes off it's base(often) when you turning(via the knob). Then when trying to put it back in place I found the plate would move down the axle, I've tried adding an extra plate to help.
