Can anyone recommend a good book on mind storms and programming .. Just the basics i don’t want something that looks like it’s from NASA..lol .Just a basic book

I'm holding my copy of Winning Design! Lego Mindstorms NXT. Although it is made for FIRST Lego League competitions, it does cover the basics well. It talks about NXT robot design and construction, much like Sariel's book does for Lego Technic. It does not contain NASA-type programming code, but many pictures and great explanations of robot design. You can find this book for sale at Amazon and other resellers.

After you have mastered the basics of Lego Mindstorms, you could consider getting Philo's book, Extreme NXT.
