Hello.

Here's my work from yesterday... a sheet metal workshop (I hope the name is right)

It took me around 10 hours to build everything.

So here is:

The exterior... it is similiar that the ones I saw,,,

...look to the interior...

202workshop.jpg

...here you can see two bending machines for L-profiles, two drilling machines, a saw for sheet metal cutting... the boss giving instructions to one of the workers...

203workshop.jpg

...here is also a machine for making plates, a lathe and roller machine for curved profiles and 3-wheeled forklift...

204workshop.jpg

...here is the guy on welding machine, welds profiles to make the frame for door and painting ''chamber'' for painting the final products,

in this case the same door frame...

...another view...

...and the whole section.

What do you think?

C&C are welcomed...

Its very realistic, good job recreating it. :sweet:

I would of made it slightly bigger as the roller press should not be against the wall this would not be like that in real live.

Also they are no offices for the designers and the bosses of the company.

Interesting design ideas there 'monsinjor'......odd fitting and machining gear in a sheet metal place.....must be more a general engineering workshop eh ?

I designed and built one myself two years ago or there about's.

LDD On 'monsinjor' ! (the drill presses are very original in design  )

Hey, you certainly are very productive these days! ;-)

I like it, although where I work, the machines are mainly green or yellow.

I especially like the idea with teh door-frames; first greys, then painted. -Good stuff!

Suggestions; Install a portal crane running on rails along the roof. (mind the two columns...)

Substitute one of the forklifts for a lorry.

Superdetailing; Chairs, desks, coffee-machine, toilets, lockerroom, wastebaskets, watch, time-stamping machine, fire-extinguishing-equipment, first-aid cabinet. -Use your imagination! ;-)

Love the floor - two greys with the orange safety strip to mark the aisle. Nice!

Nice job, although some texture on the exterior wall would help to brake up the large yellow area and give it a bit more texture.

Can you actually make these types of factory models with Lego?

Of course! Granted this would require thousands of pieces, but it is very doable :classic:
