Admiral Croissant Posted November 9, 2012 Cool ship indeed! I especially like the stern, the rigging and the colourscheme. But there are also small details that I don't like much, like the side galleries, and the "crow's nests" being too edgy at the front. Still, a very nice find and it's very clearly the USS Constitution.
Sebeus I Posted November 9, 2012 It's interesting how he used joint pieces instead of actuall cannons, from a distance they work great, up close I don't like them that much The bow is pretty well-shaped
kurigan Posted November 9, 2012 This certainly is a swell model. The attention to detail is great. So many small thing were worked in from the surviving frigate, like those brass frames on deck? What I find strange is using Lego shrouds even after all the effort of the rest of the rigging in string. Besides the plastic, pre-fab Lego shrouds,, the builder has even added supplemental shrouds/back stay of string. I would love to chat with elephant night about this and some of his other decisions. Nice find, thinks for sharing.
