I couldn't decide which forum this would fit in. Licensed? Action? Town? Other Themes?

But in any event, I present: Brick Improved Joe... well more accurately, Cobra... I've been watching the old GI Joe cartoons on some dish station at night and was inspired to try my hand at MOCing something other than structures. Here's what I've come up with so far:

Cobra's Primary Fighter, the Rattler:

And Cobra's Primary Heavy Armor Tank, the Hiss:

And the whole slithery gallery:

Nice! The vehicles look really well designed. I'm not so familiar with the vehicles of G.I Joe but I had a lot of figures (it was called Action Force in Sweden). It would be cool to see more of these figures in Lego. Cobra Commander and Raptor were some of my favourites. Looking forward to see more!

It’s pretty neat to see some G.I.Joe, or Action Force if you’re European, things made in LEGO. I particularly like the Trouble-Bubble.

If you are curious it seems like Hasbro will make Kre-O things with G.I. Joe in the near future. I guess that is the closest you can come to an official LEGO version of G.I.Joe.

LegoJalex, may I ask why you have Raptor as one of your favorites, it seems like a somewhat odd choice. To quote Cobra Commander on that subject: “This birdbrain is crazier than Dr. Mindender! I’m sick and tired of wackos in funny suits! What do you sleep in? A nest?” The again, I have an odd fondness for him as he was one of my very first figures.

I loved G.I. Joe growing up. I'd love to see official figures (never will happen), even though TMNT exists now, so who knows.

It's great seeing these figures and vehicles in LEGO form. Makes me feel nostalgic.

Have you seen this. There are a lot of great custom G.I. Joe figures here.

Having established air superiority, the Joes bring out the artillery, with the armored HAVOC:

Including the support hover-craft:

Cross-County, Dusty and Lady Jaye stand-by to take the fight to Cobra:

Saw the Havoc on Flickr this morning and recognized it right away. Good job.

Nice use of carrots as guns, BTW.

Quite honestly, I forgot about the guns on the front and the carrots were the only solution I could come up with that didn't involve tearing it all apart and starting over...

Radness!

I grew up with GI Joe in the early and mid 80s(some in the 70s too). Great work on these vehicles and characters. Have you seen the Croc Boat in Legends of Chimia? I forsee some GI Joe Mocs using it.

Very good job on the vehicles, instantly recognizable. The H. I. S. S. and TroubleBubble are great because of the unique shape of each was captured great. Not to say the Rattler/Skystriker aren't, they look just as they should too.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I just had to look up what G.I is an acronym of. I used to collect G.I. JOE figures too. And I've watched a bajillion films/documentaries on WWII as well

Anyhoo, great builds. Recognisable instantly.

Love the Mauler, and I appreciate your totally purist approach to details like the logos.

For the Joe logo, may I suggest a 1x2 white tile (for the lettering) beside a 1x2 blue tile with a 1x2 red vent over it (or vice versa) to represent the stripes of the logo.

These are really great models. Love each one, and I love the minifigures you've put together. I totally appreciate the LEGO purism your creations represent.

With Cobra on the run, Flint leads GI Joe in the offensive, with (what I consider one of the goofiest vehicles) the Armadillo:

But, at the last second, Storm Shadow arrives in the fully armed negator gyro-copter, codenamed Fang:

Coordinating in the counter-attack comes a Televiper on a Ferret ATV:
