2013 City Sets - Rumours and Discussion

Recommended Posts

I noticed on brickset that they now list a set called "helicopter arrest" with the number 60009. I wonder if this helicopter originally listed as 4473 will be the same set? After all the minifig is holding an arrester hook. Would kind of make sense.

http://brickset.com/...2013&Theme=City

I feel that helicopter is going to be a was-to-be-now-on-the-scrap-heap. :look:

If was the copter would carry that number on it some where and not an earlier style number......but it does make sense....sort of with that copter as the uniforms are recent air-borne police. :look:

I have moved a bunch of posts with wishes for the City theme to the "Ideas for new City sets" thread. Please use this thread for discussion of the actual 2013 City sets. Thanks. :sweet:

Looks like set 4473 only hope for Production in 2013 is as the "Airline Promotional Set" as with 6 Helicopters and two planes in 2013 there is not much space for another Heli set. With two confirmed Police Helicopters it is a long shot that 4473 is a definate as well; unless it is a preliminary image of 60009 but it is more likely that 60009 is a 6 wide Heli as per previous picture.....is 4473 then another CITY set that Never Was joining the ranks of 4934, 4933,4897,5642 & 30016 that seem to have never been produced!?!? Bring on Summer 2013......

Does anyone know when the new city sets are going to be released?? This time last year I was already starting to buy new forest sets. One would think that TLG would want all the new sets out in time for the Xmas shopping season.

They have shown up at a TRU in Canada, which means they are likely to start trickling in to TRU stores everywhere over the next few weeks, which is fairly typical.

Well, the Space sets appeared at Canada's TRU as well, and they are supposed to be released in March 2013.

...In some countries. You can rarely assume with any certainty that release dates will be consistent globally.

Naw, we just have weird time zones in Canada. It is already March here. ;)

Thanks Grogall!!!

I loooooove the helicopter arrest, and for once I also like the smaller sets !

Is it me or does the quality of the details and accessories seem better than previous year's ones?

As I said yesterday, no source is more efficient than you have been:

"Has this been confirmed? Did I miss something?

A LOT of people know a LOT of things... My only trust: Grogall! There has never been a news from him that hasn't been confirmed, at least not that I'd know of..:

"The next Modular Building is 10232 Palace Cinema!

No word on availability, price or piece count yet, nor are there any pics available yet

will update when I get more news!

Title can be changed!"

So ok, there is no picture and no confirmation by TLC but if Grogall confirms it, I do believe he's right. And this on top of all the others mentioning the Palace Cinema as the new Modular Building, I recall it all started with 1000steine.de.

So to answer your question: No, but yes "

Helicopter arrest is dying to be used as a Batman playset.

Ohhhh yes...

The set looks pretty cool, but the building seems kinda.. like only about a few pieces were used, like the backside will have no "detail" at all. Still looks like an awesome little playset. Probably won't get it though.

Thanks!
