MOC: The Farnheim Fire Department (Part 1)

Hello everybody!

This one goes out to the fans of the red cars! :excited:

As requested by lightningtiger and already mentioned by ER0L I want to take the chance to introduce you the Farnheim Fire Department (in German it called the "Berufsfeuerwehr Farnheim") reffered to a typical german professional fire brigade. My fictional fire department takes care of nearly 584.000 inhabitants, a huge harbor, shipyards, a naval seaport and an inter'l airport with its several massive high exposures. You can also take a look on the history of the FFD here.

Of course, there's not also a fire department for the citystreets, but also a professional airport and few plant fire brigades.

This and the following posts will show you some of the cars of the "FFD". The airport fire department and a closer look to a plant fire brigade will follow later.

If you're wondering about the photos' scale, I have to say, they are so smaller, because they much older. The MOCs occured between 2009 and 2010. The newer cars and trucks got some addition with yellow stripings, which immitates the reflective film which is used for better visiblity in the dark.

As you can see here:

Now let's start with some smaller vehicles:

This is the car of the chief officer. He is alerted, when bigger incidents happen.

A little truck for daily transportations between the different fire stations throughout the municipal area.

This truck is a typical 4WD-MPV that can pull different sorts of trailers.

Any kind of equipment can be carried to the emergency scenes. This truck is part of the logistics group of the fire department.

Part of special operations within the "FFD" is the sand spreader to remove different kind of liquids from the surface.

Standard rapid response unit (RRU) that carries some emergency medical equipment and a doctor.

Emergency ambulance. The cars of the emergency rescue services are painted in a different color scheme for a better perception for the other road users.

So, this is the end of part one. I hope, you liked it.

More to come! Stay tuned!

Absolutely wonderful little 4-wides. I love the combo of new and old pieces and design, very similar to how I build my own 4-wides. My favorites are the chief's car, the 4x4 mpv, and the RRU.

It's good to see 4-wide love in here. The spare wheel on the RRU make it look extra rugged.

Love them, especially the first car and the sand spreader! One question: Is that a SLR you're using, or is it some neat photography trick to get the selective focus? Great work, as with all of your 4-wifes!

I have to agree with all the others: You're very, very good at this, and the style you specialise in makes me think of the sets I used to play with as a kid. Fond memories!
