Yakuza Family - Day 3

cimg0762.jpg

It was passed midnight.

Tadao couldn't sleep.

All of the hideous things going on with his family.

Who would betray their own flesh and blood!

So he decided he would upload some of Akio and his home videos.

He was so busy he didn't noticed the figure in white behind him.

cimg0763.jpg

With one swift motion the figure chopped of Tadaos head.

He never saw it coming...

cimg0765.jpg

Great Grandfather Lloyd was enjoying his nightly walk when he stumbled upon Yasuko.

Humn how odd.

She hasn't moved since the end of the day...

And it appears the chicken has plucked out one of her eyes.

Oh and there is no pulse.

Humn...

Ah well she didn't have much to say anyway.

cimg0768.jpg

A bit further he discovered the lifeless body of Tadao.

His pc was still uploading a video.

cimg0770.jpg

Great Grandfather Lloyd pulled both the lifeless bodies towards the Dragon of Truth.

Luckily the little chicken helped him by rolling forth Tadaos head.

cimg0773.jpg

In the morning he summoned his family to meet him in the main room of the Toko.

cimg0776.jpg

Dear family.

I fed the dragon Ichirou and the remains of Tadao and Yasuko.

I got the same results for all of them.

Ichirou, Tadao and Yasuko were all loyal members of the Yazuka.

While the Mutineers need to outnumber the Yakuza. Any other party characters will have their own win conditions outlined in their roles.

  2. Each day you will be able to vote to lynch a player Voting should be done in the following format: Vote: Character (Player). Similarly, unvoting is to be done in the format; Unvote: Character (Player). No other format will be accepted. Each player gets one unvote a day. The player with the most votes at the end of a game day will be lynched. If there is a tie then the first player to achieve this vote count will be lynched.

  3. A game day will last a maximum of 72 hours. You may not vote in the first 24 hours. The day will end after 72 hours, unless the group are decided on a lynch. After the day has concluded, a night stage will commence, which will last a maximum of 48 hours. Night actions must be sent to the host, using the initial character PM thread only, in the first 24 hours of the night stage. They will not be accepted after this deadline has passed or if the player doesn’t use the initial character PM.

  4. The alignment of lynched players, as well as those that died during the night will be revealed at the beginning of the next day.

  5. You may not quote or pretend to quote anything sent to you by the game hosts via PM. This includes all the details of your character and role, as well as any night action results. Role claims and reporting of night action results are acceptable, but in your own words only. Do not attempt to use the structure of your role PM to your advantage.

  6. Do not play the game outside the thread. Similarly, do not post out of character inside the thread. Game tactics and roles may only be discussed in the game thread or via PM with other players. Private discussion is done at your own risk and should be treated as part of the game. Metagame at your own risk.

  8. You may not edit your posts.

Well that was a pretty horrible night. I hope we've learned something, though. If Tadao was not the scum blocker, there is someone else who claimed to be the town blocker who should be scrutinized today.

Interesting...

I was hit on the head tonight with a katana, must have been the other blocker? It is safe to say that that person is scum, I can see this being a short day.

Most depressing, my wife is now dead along with my brother. :cry_sad: I believe it is time to look into some of our family members that where accused yesterday.

:damn: GOODNESS SAKE! I AM A MAN! Ah, I mean, a woman.

Damn. It appears that Ichirou's 100% certainty of Tadao was misplaced. The attack was a different killer than the one who Lloyd Jr. Do the Mutineers have multiple killers, or did the vigilante take Ichirou's advice? If the latter, then perhaps the scum killer was unable to kill?

Damned, so we've lost our Familiy's Blocker and the Tracker! I can't believe Ichirou was actually Yakuza, after everything he did and how erratically he acted and accused yesterday.

To the brighter side, we now know that Tadao was not a Mutineer. Which means the other blocker must be one. I don't assume we have much choice today. Once Norio-sama tells us the name of his blocker, I guess I'll vote for him.

But we should also have a look into the people Ichirou accused, which are Tadao, Chieko and Momoe.

He obviously was wrong about Tadao, but what about Chieko and Momoe?

Chieko claims she had been blocked last night, which doesn't quite mean it was the scum blocker. Tadao might have blocked her before he was killed, assuming kills come last as ususal he had enough time to do so. Also, she could be lying about being blocked, as excuse. If it can be verified that she was blocked by the scum blocker, she would have to be loyal, though.

Momoe hasn't yet struck me as particularly scummy, except for not being that vocal in the day threads. But unfortunately yesterday there were 15 people who spoke as much or less than her (:hmpf_bad:), so that doesn't mean much.

Anyway, I guess we've got our lynch for today. :classic:

Ichirou was town? What a selfish, selfish man. :hmpf_bad: I had figured no true Yakuza would have thrown random accusations around like he did just to save his own skin.

And, as a direct result, we have lost the town blocker. Not a good night. Hopefully we can learn something from this other blocker, so some good can come from this.

You are right, Tadao could have blocked me, I have not thought about that, my apologies. My point still stands, the other blocker must be the scum blocker... Why would I be lying about being blocked? Please explain that to me...

If you are scum, which is a possibility I will not exclude at the moment, although the only reason I bring this up is Ichirou's accusation of you, which I, as you might remember, didn't really consider holding any weight at all, you might lie about that because you think it proves you are Yakuza, as you were blocked by the Mutineers' blocker. Long sentence short, you could use it as proof of your loyalty, which it is not.

Well, that would not make sense, since as you have pointed out, it could have been Tadao that blocked me, and I have no reason to 'prove' my loyalty, other than Ichirou's short accusation against me, which did not really hold any weight.

Well, I can't say I had confidence in the lynch, but I am somewhat surprised at Ichirou's allegiance.

I agree. I haven't read that many books, but none of them had multiple Townie Blockers. That Tadao is a Townie pretty much gives us our lynch for Today, which leads me to believe that Tadao's killer was the vig, as was discussed Yesterday. (or SK, if there is one) I doubt the Scum would've killed the Townie Blocker after their Blocker had claimed.

Yeah, and the same can be said for Tadao. How can you just 'trust' someone with your role on day 1 if you're our blocker? It indeed seems likely now that the other blocker is a mutineer. I too was at least expecting either Ichirou or Tadao to be a mutineer.

Well, that would not make sense, since as you have pointed out, it could have been Tadao that blocked me, and I have no reason to 'prove' my loyalty, other than Ichirou's short accusation against me, which did not really hold any weight.

But you were jumping to conclusions that it must have been the scum blocker, which would clear you of course. That there seems to be no kill by the mutineers last night, actually incriminates you if it was Tadao that blocked you after all (typically the blocker is still able to block effectively before being killed).

Hmmm, yes, I can see that. I must admit I did not know blockers could still block before being killed, but it makes sense.

Well, you might have overreacted, thinking that Ichirou is Yakuza makes you a prime suspect. But this theory is based on awfully many "if"s and "might"s, heavily decreasing it's likelyness. But I wanted to point that out. And obviously you hadn't realized yet that it might have been Tadao as well.

But unfortunately yesterday there were 15 people who spoke as much or less than her (:hmpf_bad:), so that doesn't mean much.

Sorry, my notes were wrong. It's actually 11 people.

This is a dark day for the Yakuza, with 3 of us dead during the night, including Tadeo, my partner. Curse those mutineers! I agree with the others, let's see what Norio says about the other blocker, since poor Tadeo was Yakuza.

Well, this is most unfortunate, 3 Yakuza killed in one night. :sceptic:

If it was the vigilante that killed Tadao I must say that I'm surprised by that choice, I would've thought that he or she would go for Tamiko this night. In my opinion Tamiko was a much greater suspect than Tadao, where we only had Ichiru's late accusation to go on.

Of course, I'm not sure of if it really was the vigilante that killed Tadoe but the picture at least points to another person then who killed Lloyd Jr (and white is a "good" colour, right?) But that might be me metagaming trying to read into things too much.

Well we definitely have the dark-clad killer and the white-clad killer. I agree, it is more likely that the white-clad killer is the vigilante, perhaps the talk of which blocker was which sealed Tadao's fate. I would also have hoped that Tamiko would be their target, given their contributions yesterday.

Yeah, it was really surprising...except for the fact that Norio-sama had announced publicly that he'd get the vigilante to kill Tadao. :hmpf:

And it made sence. I would have prefered Tamiko as well, but Tadao also was a good target. It's good to lose the Yakuza's blocker in order to get the Mutineers' one, as

a)the Yakuza heavily outnumbers the Mutineers, so if we lose one and they lose one, the ratio changes in our favor

b)the Mutineers' blocker is much more effective than our blocker, as the worst he can do is block a vanilla. The worst our blocker can do is block an important role Yakuza.

Like I said, I doubt Tadao's killer was Scum only because I don't think the Scum would kill off someone claiming Townie Blocker. They knew Tadao was probably telling the truth, since they already knew Yesterday that he wasn't on their side. They knew that two Blockers had claimed, and that the Town thought one of them had to be Scum. They must have known that killing Tadao would have made it clear that the other claimed Blocker was probably Scum.

Another mistake, sorry. I should actually check things up before talking.

Norio-sama didn't get the vig to kill Tadao, according to his statement, but simply announced that he thought the vig would kill Tadao. Similar result, though, but I know Norio-sama dislikes being paraphrased wrongly.

As I said, I was consulting with the vig, and, as planned, Tadao was taken out. I'm shocked he came up Yakuza. Ichiro, by the end of the day, in private and in public, was seeming town. But Tadao's explanations and behavior was seeming very scummy. I can't express how disappointed I am with that result as I was depending on it.

On a positive note, all the investigations last night were successful, and we have three less townies that we'll be worried about, but no Mutineers :sceptic:

It looks like I will be revealing my blocker today. Kuso!

Ugh. :facepalm:Neither of them was Mutineer. And there goes our blocker. :sadnew: At least we have a target today, as soon as Norio decides to divulge it. Well, Ichirou, I'm sorry we had to lynch you, but it turns out your hunch was wrong too.

Before I change my mind about this: the other blocker was Minoru. The person who vouched for Minoru I trust. But their reasons for trusting Minoru, I'm shaky on. I can't think that there are three blockers here, including Tadau. That leaves Minoru as the scum blocker.

Can anyone think of a different scenario? :sceptic:

I really wish Tadau had been scum :cry_sad:

Not really. :sceptic: Well, there's always another scenario, but for the most part they're all vague and unlikely. Now I need to look through Minoru's posts what he's said the past few days.

I can't say Minoru has done anything to make me think he isn't Scum. Hasn't done anything really to look like Scum, but hasn't done anything to look like Town, either. I'll have to go review Day 1, but what I have from my notes is that he seemed not to understand things, which can be easily faked as Scum to look like a new and inexperienced Townie.
