An impressive Island

Recommended Posts

This huge image looks great! It is from a recent convention...

God Bless,

Cool MOC, I like that mountain...alot. The beach blended with the forest seems really good to me as well.

The treasure in the cave and spur on the beach are both great touches...

Starfish work well with the pirate theme don't they?

Yes, I wish I had some...

They're expensive little buggers though. I've seen them on BrickLink and they're US$0.60 each. While here they're US$1.00 for the standard or almost US$2.00 for the translucent purple.

What sets did they originate from anyway?

Only SW and HP to my knowledge (which is why I don't have any), but I would guess some Belville set had a few... To tie back into this MOC, that is where the nice pink parrot on top of the mountain comes from...

What about the Sponge Bob theme? That was a sea orientated SYSTEM theme wasn't it?

Good point, not inventoried at peero yet, so I don't know...

Darn! I was about to go look on Peeron until I read your post. Did you actually look Mr Norro on Peeron or are you just guessing?

here's the BrickShelf gallery...

i love the shark cove detail !!!

however, i would like to see some carvings out the rocks (moai style), since this is an "inslanders" island. that said, as a islander MOC, i don't think this is very good. i think the moai are what make the islanders cool.

Perhaps this link answers all of your questions. The Spongebob sets have been inventoried on BrickLink, apparantly they do not have starfishes included except the larger "Patrick" minifig.

This brings a whole new dimension to this MOC! What a pleasant surprise it is to see this!

The Moai carvings would be a nice touch but this cave isn't neccessarily inhabited by the Islanders. It could be a secret pirate treasure cave...

That's reaalllyyy cool!!!! Very immpresive!!!

dscf0075.jpg

there is a treasure in the mountain! Lots of monkeys....

I just noticed this too Mr Tiber! This MOC is huuuuuuuuge! It would be good if there were an over abundance of close-up pictures so we could view every feature in detail.

What do we think of the way they've used vines in the plant pieces?
