Knifk narrowed his eyes, and a metallic scraping filled the air as he unsheathed Tfel and leapt at the Sniper from the front row in a single, fluidic movement.

Tarn rushes the Brigand, thinking to skewer him, but the Brigand steps forward and under the axe to slice Tarn across the abdomen (-10). Seeing this, Knifk raises his shield to black damage the next round. Guts sneaks up behind the gloating Brigand to cut his purse and hip (-29), sending the Brigand to howling. De'kra attemps the sneak the Sneak but is thwarted. Dak does the same but finds a club to the face (-8). Swindle and the Sniper exchange quick shots, but only Swindle finds the mark with his effective amethyst powered blast(-6). Both parties back away with a new found respect for the other side.

Knifk's blade cleaved the ground with a harsh clang of steel on rock as the sniper danced out of the way of his blow, right into Guts' knife. He smiled grimly and prepared to continue his assault on the Sniper from the front row when hot red blood splattered across his right side. He glanced over to see that Tarn had received a nasty cut across the stomach and was breathing heavily. Startled by the attacker's ferocity, he mentally prepared himself to intercept any blows that might come their way with his shield, then executed his attack.

Swindle magics the Brigand from the back row.

Tarn shook his head to try and clear the pain away. Two fights now and he had barely touched an opponent. Either he was rusty, or he just wasn't as good as he thought he was. Putting away such dark thoughts, he concentrated hard on his attack.

Tarn will attack the Brigand from the front row.

IC: De'kra moves to attack the Sneak from the back row, his Prongcanis Dagger at the ready. "Dak and or barbarian use potion?" he suggested as he attacked, "or wait? Heroes have no cleric to help after all."

Tarn again bears down on the Brigand who, once again, strikes at the barbarian. Knifk sees Tarn is exposed again, but leaps forward and turns the Brigand's dagger with his shield. The sniper fires at the leaping Knifk, but the bolt is deflected with a spark as it unevenly hit's the orc's armor. Thinking to overtake the Sniper as she reloads, Guts lunges forward but only strikes the bare rock as the Sniper sidesteps into Swindle's darkness spell (-6). Dak and Dek'ra double team the Sneak, catching coins as they fall him the Sneak's cut purse (-29, -25). The sneak collapses, but slowly rises, blood flowing smoothly from his fresh wounds.

IC: De'kra nods and attacks the Sneak from the back row with his Prongcanis Dagger. The blade sparked as he whirled it, just like his mind. In that brief moment where Dak and De'kra attacked, something in the shade's mind had clicked. For a second, maybe two, De'kra could see the flow of the battle, the ebb and tide of war. He could see where to attack-no, he had remembered how to attack. He had remembered something, but had that moment passed?

Tarn cursed under his breath as he failed to hit the Brigand yet again. He decided that at least two of their foes looked in good shape still, and decided to take a potion.

The parties clash once again! Knifk and Guts both charge the Brigand, but swing at empty air as the Brigand dives and rolls to the side. De'kra ducks under the Sneak's club and finishes him off with a quick thrust (-15). Swindle launches another amethyst bolt wide at the Sniper who ends Dak's efforts in the battle with a quarrel to the chest (-7). Tarn steps back and wisely consumes a healing potion (+10).

IC: De'kra feels electrified as he ends the Sneak eternal. This flow of battle, tag-timing with Dak triggered something. The battle seems much less chaotic now, it is much easier to read. This rush might not last long, but for the moment De'kra can truly see the battle, and he knows where to strike. For this brief moment, De'kra is in his element.

As De'kra looks for Dak, he spots the fellow Rogue slumped over the ground. The shade calls over to the Mage, "Element-Wielder; Dak alive?" De'kra knows he can't check Dak for wounds, he has no knowledge of human, Mopag, or elf biology. He still is a little freaked out from when he saw that one naked. It had no lights or metal or gears or anything! Sure some people are like that, but not the ones he knows best. The point is he won't be able to tell if Dak was alive or not, and he had a fight to battle anyway.

As he readies, De'kra attacks the Brigand from the back row with his Prongcanis Dagger, ready to fiercely fry the foe.

From the corner of his eye, Guts saw Dak fall, turning his head after another missed strike, Guts once again attacks the brigand from the front row.

[Dwellington]

"Master Dak! No!"

Swindle turns to watch his comrade thrown against the cave wall by a crossbow bolt. The sudden hit was enough to make his spell careen harmlessly away from the Sniper.

In the split second before the Sniper could reload her crossbow, Swindle saw Dak slide to the floor, groaning.

"Oooh, I'll have you for that!" Swindle launches another magic bolt at the Sniper, from the back row.

[Rumble Strike]

Tarn let out an anguished cry as he saw Dak fall. Here he was, taking a potion to keep himself alive and all he had to do was watch one if his party fall. Well no more. No more.

With a steely set to his jaw, Tarn attacks the brigand from the front row.
