Dr. Bloodbrick's Asylum - Day Two

Recommended Posts

So, Mr. Shadows is a neutral, hm? Impartial, whatever. Anyone who can just switch sides at the first sign of defeat is not someone I would want to keep around. I'll stand by my vote.

Continue voting: Shadows. It's not like we're gonna kill you. Just lobotomise you. :sweet:

Maybe I'm just missing something here. Why is an Independent such a huge threat again? Especially one that has no known night actions, and has given his vote away to us?

I just don't see the reasoning here. I'm going to abstain from this vote.

By the way, what is a Stash?

After Stash revealed to me earlier today his investigation results,

Do you know of any sinister insanes we could vote for instead? Voting for Mr. Shadows is the best way to ensure we don't vote out an innocent insane again, and also gets rid of a potential threat, as he could turn on us at any moment. People with no allegiance can not be trusted. Especially sly ones like señor Shadows...

By the way, what is a Stash?

Please excuse señor Salvatore. He has a bit of an addiction problem, and sometimes gets words confused. I believe he meant Martin Century. :wink:

I heard that! I am not an addict! And Stash is Martin's species, duh. :hmpf:

Jesus, you people are enough to drive anyone insane!

Seeing as it's all we have to go on, I'm going to Vote: Kevin/Shadows. I'm not entirely sure of it, but I would definitely prefer to vote out someone who is confirmed to not be Insane, than to vote for someone who may be.

See, there's a concise, well written spoken argument for voting for Shadows. I still think I'll abstain, though. You certainly don't need my vote at this point.

And no, I don't know of any Sinisters we could vote against. I don't think anyone here does, except for the Sinisters. And they haven't been very forthcoming. :laugh:

If Shadows is really offering to proxy his vote to one of us in the day so we know he is on our side, I don't see why he should be eliminated :sceptic: , I'm sure he wants to just live to see his family.., or, or to see his home..., or how about his job... oh, hmm, well I'm sure he just wants to live through this ordeal. But I feel if we can keep him under check he wouldn't cause as much trouble as a sinister insane. I feel our resources could be used better :sceptic: I'm gonna abstain from voting as I do not feel Shadows deserves such a fate.

Sure he could give his proxy his vote to someone every day. But who do we trust enough to have that proxy? That person would also become a bigger target for the sinisters. And then eventually there might be very few of us left and his vote might mean the difference between an innocent or sinister death. And then he might unproxy at the last minute and all would be lost.

Add to that the fact that we still aren't entirely sure what his being independent really means. Does he just have to survive this ordeal or does he have to choose a side. Or he could have an even more nefarious purpose and wish certain of us dead.

If we had any evidence of a potential sinister things might be different. As it is, he is an unknown element, sort of like my home-made rocket fuel, and probably just as volatile.

Now, bearded freak, not quite sure why you still want to vote for me. Same goes to the mythical fatman in red, unless you are holding a grudge?

I'm not holding a grudge (I'm not dressed as the Grinch, see?), but I still don't understand how you can so effortlessly go around telling how you can gain information about people's allegiances. This puts a huge target on your back even if you aren't an investigator, you do realize that?

Unless you're sinister, of course. Sinisters automatically know who's on their side and who's not, so you can easily point at a person and get their affiliation right.

So I suspect you because you're being so open about what you know. But we'll see what tomorrow brings.

I said I would give Shadows another chance, but the day has brought up nothing else and it seems that his death would be the best option we have so far, so therefore I'll vote: Shadows.

The voices seriously think you are making a big mistake by voting Shadows of. They honestly trust the guy. Plus there are far more suspicious people here... You guys are nuts for voting Shadow of. Nuts I tell you.

How can you be so sure? And who are the more suspicious people? And what are the suspects based on? Some clarification would be nice. :hmpf_bad:

Well my trust in Shadows is kind of a gut feeling. Lets call it a Ladies intuition.

There are some people who still are acting shady in my honest opinion:

- I do not trust the alien, he keeps changing his story

- I do not trust Jesus with his syringe action, but that's mostly because I do not understand his night action. Does he change the nightly actions of two people or their alliances? If it's the latter one I would try to vote him of in a hart beet.

- I do not trust Cookie due to the voting on day 1

- I still think there is something fishy about the friendship between King and Chief. And I seriously don't know if we gave PR to the best man. I hope our trust in Chief isn't misplaced.

Sorry for my absence, I've been busy with Nurse Peppy. :wink:

I'm quite confused about who to trust at the moment. Both sides seem to have good arguements against one another.

However, it seemed quite obvious what Marty Martian was up to: he's a neutral whose objective is to survive past the death of all the staff or something similar. I don't know why he'd be so forward if that was the case.

Suddenly turning against Shadows was quite an odd move and is certainly the reason why he's provoked people to vote for him.

I'll hold my vote for a little longer until I've decided which side to join.

Suspicious indeed. But also risky to vote off, because we may loose one of our more important roles.

However, it seemed quite obvious what Marty Martian was up to: he's a neutral whose objective is to survive past the death of all the staff or something similar. I don't know why he'd be so forward if that was the case.

Although he provided different reasoning, the thought did cross my mind. He still didn't provide a reason for specifically targeting Dr. Rajim as well. Also note that the Sinister will have to eliminate Dr. Blutziegel at some time. Whether that has anything to do with it...?

Although I'm not convinced voting off Kevin 'Shadows' Mitchell is getting us much further - (1) the voting pattern against a neutral or independent, as they like to call it, isn't going to tell us much and (2) it's not going get us any further in finding out whether our Martian friend and Jesus are Sinister (they agree on Shadows neutrality) - it at least won't hurt us Insanes much. Furthermore, there is always the risk Shadows will turn on us along the way (sure he may proxy his vote for days to come, but as soon as the Sinister start gaining and he can win with them...) and that he has a yet unknown objective, or even a deadly night action, that may conflict with that of the majority of us. So, given that we don't have a lead on a true Sinister today (which is worrying), I'll settle for second-best today.

Vote: Kevin 'Shadows' Mitchell

I suppose I'll Vote: Kevin Mitchell / Shadows only because of what others have said. If he's truly innocent, I know who we should go after tomorrow.

Well, I still stand by my earlier views. I would have prefered that we discussed other options, instead of using this whole dilemma as an excuse to waste a day dealing with a neutral who has yet to cause any problems (I do see the arguement for voting him out, I'm just not happy with the way our main priority has been ignored). Aswell as the complete failure to make any progress in stopping the sinister we've also succeded in outing far more than was necessary, which has left us with no distinct advantage going into the night.

There's no chance of anything other than a conviction of Shadows coming from today -I don't agree with convicting Martin at this point anyway- and my vote is not needed so I'll also abstain until tommorow. :sceptic:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There is a chill in the air. Deep in the bowls of the hospital, the furnace chugs along, sputtering out a smoggy heat intermittently. The coldness of the hospital's floor can be felt through slippers.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Clumsily the door to the ward slammed open, and Dr. Blutziegel plodded in, the unmistakable odor of brandy and scotch wafting in behind him. He stopped and paused, steadied himself and surveyed the room.

drb.jpg

So, what did we learn today? Were they able to piece something together? As much as I blame those who sent Big Cam to me last night for his death, I still feel abstractly responsible to some extent. I wonder if there was something else I could have done to save him...

Enough, let's focus on the matter at hand. What did we learn today?

5335358413_e9b886f729_z.jpg

Nurse Penny rolled up to the good doctor, "Well sir, it seems a lot of the group are pointing the finger towards Mr. Mitchell." She nodded her head in gesture to a figure in the corner. "They're being obtuse about what they think the results are though."

Very well then. Nurse Penny, Nurse Pepper, follow me, please.

At the back of the room, a silken voice spins a web around all who'll listen.

5335156065_cf9213d58f_z.jpg

Who gave him his cloak? His cloak was expressly forbidden to him. We allowed him that stupid eye patch, I draw the line at that foppish wrap.

Well, who was it?

Feebly, Nurse Pepper muttered, "I'm not sure sir." Nurse Penny tittered, before wiping the smirk off her face.

Alright 'Shadows', your peers have selected you. It's time to come.

The man in the corner giggled maniacally. "Shadows? I don't see no shadows, buddy. What are you on about? And tymdagum?! What the fuck is a tymdagum?!! Yer losing it, man!" Shadows attempted a penetrative stare, but Dr. Blutziegel was immune. Blutziegel turned and began to walk away.

Fine, that's how it will be...........Kevin.

"SHADOWS!"

5335155919_4a5ef02464_z.jpg

"My name is SHADOWS! THERE IS NO KEVIN! JUST ME! I'M SHADOWS! SHADOWS, DAMMIT!"

Nurses, please escort Mr. Mitchell to my office.

The nurses gladly grabbed the flailing Mr. Mitchell and pulled him to the floor before they began to drag him to his fate. Patients started to gather, to fully appreciate what they'd accomplished today.

5335769766_05e6907912_z.jpg

Trying to hold back his laughter, he sent his last message to the east ward. "You can't touch me! I'm Shadows! I don't die! I'm the best there is and ever will be! You can't kill me! I'm Sha--"

The door closed.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Night falls on the hospital. The lights are turned off, and everyone, both patients and staff, are enveloped in shadows.
48 hours until Day Three. Send in your night actions, the sooner the better.
