MOC: Enoch Badcock's Shipyard

Recommended Posts

Hello All!

I built this MOC in honor of my ancestor, Enoch Badcock, who was a shipwright from Massachusetts. In my MOC, he's from St. Kitts for the sake of the story. :pir-classic:

The inside of the office. Originally the parrot stand was going to be a hat rack.

We see a lot of ships on Classic-Pirate (which we love :pir-wub: ) be it's also nice to see where they are build once in a while.

A neat shipyard you've got there! I like the ship in the early state of the beginning, and the office looks great as well.

The little story along with it is just like the berry on the cake, very nice. :pir-classic:

I like it, it has a small quaint feel to it, and the story is delightful.

Look for it on the classic-pirates.com blog soon.

Great idea for a MOC!

I really like the building.

The only thing I would change in the MOC would be to use brick arches like this 6060.gif

rather than like this 2339.gif.

But I'll assume you were limited in bricks though.

When was your ancestor a ship wright?

Yes, I don't have those pieces, or I would have used them. The do look better than what I used. My ancestor lived from about 1650 to 1695. He was born in England and immigrated to Massachusetts. He died in the town of Milton. :pir-classic:
