Sea Gull Boat

UPDATE: Please see the latest version a few posts below.

One day, I saw this sleek vehicle on a framed cover image in a Cracker Barrel restaurant:

After doing some research and finding out that the vehicle was called a "Sea Gull Boat," I decided to MOC it in LEGO Digital Designer:

Wow, this is really cool. You got the shape pretty well. It seems Lego had a look at this when designing the curved pieces :tongue:

Very unique design, and you captured it quite well. It's a very strange looking boat, but in a good way. Nice work!

It's good! I'd lengthen the bow by 1 more brick though since it looks a little chubby for a streamlined boat!

Thanks! That's an interesting thought regarding the curved pieces.

Very nice smooth and sleek design Toa_of_Justice. I think you pretty much nailed the overall look right on the bulls-eye. Nicely done! Just one minor adjustment tough, the cockpit in the real boat is closer in the front so you might want to adjust that in your model. Other than that, I'd say it's perfect.

Wonderful creation! It would be nice to see it in real bricks, too!

Thanks, but I have no plans to build a real brick version. For one thing, the wedge element I used for the windshield isn't available in transparent clear or smoke yet. Even for the pieces that are real, I don't have all of them. Moreover, I'm afraid of Design byME and/or BrickLink prices.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that I'm running out of storage space...
