Rook Posted June 18, 2010 (edited) CABGOII Phase II: Staff Category Contest Entry: Design a canon ship or vehicle that has not been made into a set by TLG. So I picked this. This being my second time building this ship I had to make sure that it was to scale and to try some harder SNOT techniques. Brickdoctor Posted June 19, 2010 Very nice, especially considering the limited source material.
XimenaPaulina Posted June 19, 2010 That's a great MOC Rook! I like the SNOT tehnique, very well done. Just a tiny observation, the tail of the ship in the reference pic seems to be longer than the one in your ship. Other than that, it's perfect!
Smack Posted June 19, 2010 (edited) I am interested to know where the pic for this MOC came from. Was it in a movie or game that I missed? The MOC itself is very cool; I was wondering how you built the nose of the ship if I may ask. You always seem to come up with creative, original creations that keep me looking for more. Thanks again for keeping things fresh and interesting. Edited June 19, 2010 by Smack
lightningtiger Posted June 19, 2010 AWESOME 'Rook' you've done it again - come up with another COOL MOC ! Nice heavy cannon and surport weapons on the sides - nice ! Great work and I'm a conformist! !
BrickClick Posted June 19, 2010 Very nice! Looks just like the reference picture and I love the SNOT nose! You are one of those builders (Along with others on this forum) that never fail to amaze me so well done, And here is a well deserved smiley:
djmangunz Posted June 20, 2010 I LOVE this model. I think you do a great job of capturing the functions of the gunboat that the ROTS leaves us imagining. My hope is that Lego will create a set based on this little known ship. Well done!
Darth Lion Posted June 20, 2010 Great work, as always. I never thought someone would try to build this ship. Really nice detail and nearly perfect shape - the part behind the cockpot is too short IMO - but that's the only thing, that could be improved! Keep up the good work!
