Belchher Posted June 14, 2010 As the topic description says, does anybody know how much the 2x6x2 weight brick actually weighs? I'm after this information for a decidedly non-train MoC but figured this was still far and away the best place to ask
Zorro Posted June 14, 2010 55.65 grams according to Bricklink. You can find the weight of items in their catalog.

Brickthus Posted June 14, 2010 53.7g would be more accurate. I weighed 30 at 1600g! BTW a Train torque rig is a possible application for so many weights Mark
Brickimad Posted June 14, 2010 53.7g would be more accurate. I weighed 30 at 1600g!BTW a Train torque rig is a possible application for so many weights Mark I use two, even on the newer 9V. Problem is, if the train is too light: 1. The wheels don't get enough grip and spin, especially with a few carriages. 2. On fast speeds, the weights keep everything on the tracks, otherwise the whole ensemble flies off the tracks. Not recommended. So I've been snapping up all the weights on ebay, and adding them to all my rolling stock...
legoboy3998 Posted June 14, 2010 Another better option for weighing rail cars might be lead or similar weights available at hobby shops for exactly that purpose. Sal WFB, WI
