lightningtiger Posted May 6, 2010 OMG ! This train is AWESOME !! Beautiful streamlined engine and coal tender, remote controled, lights up - dam you are good ! Thanks for showing us all the running gear, etc., really fantastic what you have done 'Made in China(he16767)' Excellent work and I'm a conformist! !
Piratedave84 Posted May 6, 2010 THIS IS SUPERB!!!!! The locomotive you modeled it after is pretty cool itself, I had never seen an engine like that all these streamlined lines and cool features must have been a royal pain to do!!! Your model is dead on as far as accuracy, it would be super cool to build the very first one in your post, the blue one!!! I'm a conformist!, this is awesome!!!! hhcBrick Posted May 6, 2010 That's a beautiful model of a beautiful locomotive-- so good I wish Lego would release it. Thanks for sharing it and for all the great pictures!
Catanas Posted May 6, 2010 This is a really really nice model! I saw an exhibition about Streamliners in the UK a week or two ago and I have to say, although they do look impressive and quite beautiful, they do seem lack a certain charm that comes with traditional steam. That said, your build is fantastic and its great the way you've incorporated the motor and lights into it. ^^ I'm also impressed with the time you took to solve the little problems (Or big depending on how you look at it!) related to the turning of the locomotive. peterab Posted May 7, 2010 SL7 Steamlined Steam Locomotiveby he16767 (I am a member from Hong Kong...nice to meet yours!) Welcome to Eurobricks he16767, Thats a very nice locomotive, I particularly enjoyed the photos showing how you made the pistons and the tender skirt clear the wheels around corners. Your model looks very like the prototype, you can be very proud of your work. Peter
Milan Posted May 8, 2010 Very nice model! I like how there are very few visible studs, it looks very slick. Well done!

missouri_bb63 Posted May 8, 2010 (edited) Congratulations on making a fantastic looking steamer! I especially like the front. Looking at the side profile comparison with the prototype, the drivers look a bit too small on your model. If you have the money (and of course the time), you might want to try using the XL drivers from Big Ben Bricks. That, combined with taking a few plates off the bottom of the boiler would make this model look even more accurate. Keep up the good work!
