What´s this, another minifig bag thrown away?

gallery_148_84_59148.jpg

Wow, this looks so promising !

Yes, it´s time for yet another minifig review - this time:

Setnumber: 8683

Minifig number&name: #2 The Cheerleader

Numbers of different minifigs in series 1: 16

Parts in this bag: 7

Price: probably around US $1.99 per bag

Release: June 2010

Two Pom Pons, torso, legs, head, hair & stand.

Close-up of pom pons.

gallery_148_84_53027.jpg

Volia, here we have her - ready to cheer!

gallery_148_84_23728.jpggallery_148_84_33925.jpggallery_148_84_20054.jpggallery_148_84_4574.jpg

The minifig bag & mini poster are the same as the previous #13 The Spaceman.

The item# of the bag is 4568039, also as before.

This minifig is to die for !, so my rating will of course be -> Mx1022Apb113.jpg

The M on the uniform looks a bit like this, doesn´t it?:

That´s the Michigan Wolverines Cheerleader Uniform.

And now some bonus pics :

Now we just wait for these minifigs to hit the shelf  !

This is one of my favorite figs from series 1. The pompons, the torso, the skirt, it's a great fig. I just don't know what to make of her facial expression... :sceptic:

WOW! That's two wishes fulfilled by whatever genie of the lamp you have bottled up, CopMike. Better use your last wish on some more wishes!

She's fantastic-- was very curious to see how the pom-poms work. Now, all we need is a Lego (American) football player for her to cheer for!!

PS.. Sorry to go off-topic here, but I have a very specific and timely question posted in the REVIEW for the Off-Road Fire Truck and Boat topic, and was wondering if some of you more seasoned CITY guys might have some suggestions. Thanks!

Alright, you finally got the cheerleader, I still want to know where you got them.

Thanks for the review.

Copmike, you don't deserve this girl. If the figures are available to me before EB event, I will throw random thick poly-bags at you, making sure though, by CT-scanning, that no cheer leaders are inside. :classic:

Congratulations on finding the cheerleader, CopMike!

It's one of my favourites from the first series as well.

But it's a little cruel to tease us with those pictures months before we can get the figures ourself :hmpf_bad::tongue:

Shame about the part numbers being the same on both bags :sceptic:

Of course you can't tell the content by the number on the bag. Then the whole idea with random content wouldn't work, TLG isn't totally stupid.

Oh, I can't wait to get my hands on these minifigures. I would love to get this one a second time just for the parts, because I think I would like to collect and keep them all. Her face doesn't look very happy though, but it will be very useful. Thanks for the review!

How to ruin a potentially perfect minifig.

Did the team she's supporting just trash their chance to win?

Another excellent review 'Cop Mike' - thanks for bringing us a babe !

Her facial expression might be that way, either from exhaustion from dancing about or a little worry from being asked out by the captain of the team who dresses up as a large white police dog with black cap !

Great torso and leg printing plus those pom-pom's .....so COOL !

I'm a conformist! everyone ! :sweet:

Wow, she really is nice!

Even though I'm a geeky-kind of girl, I don't have any disdain towards cheerleaders, mainly because there are so few of them in Finland. However, I do think this fig's facial expression is perfect for the clichéd airheaded image of cheerleaders - such vacant eyes, such a forced smile.

So yeah, she's perfect for her role.

Or a zombie to make a Horror Highschool B-movie.:grin::wink:

Or Sylar. Only she'd have to be wearing red and white...

Great review CopMike! Can't wait to get for these to arrive in the UK :classic:

Woohoo, congrats on finally getting your paws on one Mike!

I rate it as outstanding, as are most of the minifigs in this series.

Must get the nutty clown...must... :cry_happy:

Congrats, CopMike!

I have a request. If it's not too much trouble, would you mind doing a comparison between her hair and the similar hair found on other recent figs (Agent Trace, the female pirate from Shipwreck Hideout and the Advent Calendar, etc.)? I was curious about how similar the headgear / accessory elements are, since it was my understanding all the "accessory" items in this line are unique (so that all those elements that do already have versions in general use are at least slightly resculpted here). Is the hair the same, or is it indeed a slightly different mold?

Very nice! June seems like a while off, but it's just a couple more months before the influx of new sets and products. Thanks for the early previews!

Thank you very much for this great review, CopMike! :classic:

The chearleader looks simply    - definitely outstanding!

I can't await these minifigs to come out - esp. that chearleader, the nurse, the cowboy, the Indian, the magician and the clown from the first wave and all minifigs (apart from the explorer, the vampire, the policeman and the witch) from the second wave.

Btw: The first wave will be released in June and the second in September, am I right?
