Great idea! I'm quite a SW nerd, but I don't know what half of these are. Perhaps we should add pics, if this doesn't clash with the Minifig Index.

I have a feeling it's 'Sullustan' though

Not a bad idea, but adding pics would be better.

Right, about the list:

Boga is the name of Obi-Wan's ride on Utapau. It's species is actually varactyl.

The proper name of the species of Iridionia (like Darth Maul) is Zabrak. Iridonians as an actual species are a very different, bloodthirsty, warrior species.

You missed off Glymphid (Aldar Beedo's species).

You missed off Rattataki (Asajj Ventress' species).

You missed off Korun (Mace Windu's species).

You missed off Kaleesh (Grievous' species).

That's all I can think of for now. I may spot more from time to time and will let you know if I do.

I wouldn't be the Star Wars specialist if I didn't spot those immediately.

Well I consider Mace Windu to be a human. And occording to Wookiepedia Zabrak is a subspecies of Iridonian. Also General Grevious is more droid then (man).

I agree but I'm no SW expert. I thought Mace is human and Karun is just a nationality type thing ... like you will say Han is Correllian?

I don't really see the point of the thread if a picture of a LEGO character representing that species isn't displayed.

So? If he's Korun, that's what you should list him as.

Wookieepedia:

Mace Windu was a male Korun Jedi Master of legendary status...

The species is Zabrak. 'Iridonian' is just a name falsely given to a Zabrak from Iridonia. This is an actual Iridonian.

Grievous still has his brain and other organs, and therefore is still organic and not droid. He is Kaleesh.

Would you say Darth Vader was a droid?

I do know what I'm talking about. :sceptic:

Korun isn't like just being from a certain planet. They're all force-sensitive, amongst other things. Corellian Humans are no different to Alderaanian humans, for example. Read up about it here, if you want.

What species is Aldar Beedo?

It's comments like that that get my title changed.

You missed off Glymphid (Aldar Beedo's species).

Okay I will give you the Zabrak and the Kalesh, but I am stedfast on my stance for Mace Windu. His species is Human, his home of origin is Korun.

It's comments like that that get my title changed.

If you look back at the OP I have been updating all the comments and changes. So Aldar Beedo's Species is on there.

Star Wars . com agrees, Mce Windu is a human, you can't argue with that.

Thank you, case proven.

I saw the Index but did not see any of the species listed.

That is because most of the minifigs have a proper name. For example, Watto is a Toydaryan, the jawas are jawas (they don't have proper names), chewbacca is a wookiee and Jabba is a Hutt.

A species index would be more appropriate in a Star Wars encyclopedia. This forum is based on the lego sets of this theme, not the whole saga.

Fine then. Have it your way. His 'home of origin' is Haruun Kal, by the way. :classic:

I know. He asked, so I quoted myself. I have to try and fit my title. :hmpf:

You've put 'Kalesh'. It's Kaleesh. And it should be 'Ten Numb', not Tein.

You've missed off Mirialan as well (Luminara Unduli).

Yeah, I think you're loosing this battle, ADHO15. Mace is a human, no matter how you see it.

Also General Grevious is more droid then (man).

I was just about to post that Grievous is a cyborg and not a species anymore but you beat me to it.

Mace is a human, no matter how you see it.

Not to drag this arguement on any longer, but if it helps you visualise how it works think of Arabs/Asians/Caucasians/Africans/etc - they're human right?
