Hello everybody! :classic:

Since we've got a lot of great reviews of (nearly) all of this year's SW sets I thought that it would be nice and interesting to know which of this year's SW sets is your favourite one and if there is a favourite one among us EB fans.

I decided to "only" include regluar and exclusive sets in this poll and no promos, magnet sets, key chains etc. since they are in a proper sense no real (play-)sets. I hope this is ok.

So please vote! Comments are welcome! :classic:

Shouldn't the title for the poll be 2009 not 2010?

I voted for The battle for Endor. I love the figs and layout of the set.

Al tough I don't own it (yet), I also voted for The battle for Endor.

It's a great set with many different and unique mini figures.

Thank you very much for calling my attention to that, Skipper 24. :classic:

I'm very sorry for that mistake.

My personal favourite ist 8038 The Battle of Endor. Becaus there are one of the first LEGO SW buildings in the Set.

And the minifigures are awsome, I think I want to buy a second Endor set.

A very difficult decision indeed. :sceptic:

In the end, I went for the Armoured Assault Tank. I've always wanted one, and even though it's in CIS colours, the set was a definite buy before I even saw pictures. :sweet:

Although the Battle of Endor is a great set, I'm a PT fan first, so I thought it should be from the Clone Wars. This did come a very close second, though.

I said the Home One.

I liked the new minifigures and the play actions.

I voted 10195 Republic Dropship and AT-OT. This set was a very pleasant surprise for me. The set was much more impressive then I thought before I bought and build it.

I voted for 8036 Separatists Shuttle. After ten years we finally get a Nute Gunray figure, so in my book it's definaitly set worthy of recegtition. Plus I liked the Shuttle and Rodian senator!

It was between that one or Home One (so meny new characters!), but so many voted for it already.

Rebel Blockade Runner.

The most anticipated Star Wars ship released in a looooong time.

To me, the release of this one, is a dream come true

I voted for the Battle of Endor. I was surprised that the AT-ST was more accurate than the last one, as I was expecting a vehicle like the TIE Advanced in last year's Death Star. I am hoping for another set like this next year.

Let me guess--Best set since the UCS one? Or the Yoda Statue?

I'm going to vote for Seperatist's Shuttle, because of how much I just love the figs.

Battle of Endor for me. Its got everything in my book ... plenty of excellent minifigures, buildings, vehicles and very playable.

ROTJ was also the first SW movie I watched as a kid ... a bit back to front but I wasn't movie ready when the first two movies came out. The ground battle on Endor really stuck in my mind.

Battle of Endor has a crappy AT-ST, a useless bunker and a bunch of minifigs you can't use for anything.

Only good thing in that set is the 2 rebel troops.

Vote 10198 Tantive IV / Rebel Blockade Runner

:wink::laugh:

I voted for The Battle of Endor because it is such a great playset (although I don't own it - yet ). The minifigures have amazing prints, and scout troopers have been revived thanks to this set! :classic:

Can I have yours then (minus the rebel commandos)? Edited by ILikePi

I voted for the 10195 Republic Dropship and AT-OT  . I had been waiting for a Battle of Endor set for a LONG. time but when I saw in person the 10195 I was totally impressed. Really, it is a set that we can consider PURE fan service from the TLC  . The minifigs are sure a lets down but the two vehicles are BEATIFUL especially the dropship in that dark blue color :cry_happy: . The Battle of Endor comes in a REALLY close second thought.

I voted for the Tantive IV cause its the first ever set you see in the star wars trilogy and its one of the coolest ships as well. The minifigs are pretty good although they could be better. I cant wait to get it though!

I'm going with the Home One set. Don't have it, but I want it. I love the Ackbar figure, the A-Wing in green, and the death star hologram. Beautiful, lovable set.

I want the Endor set, but it seems small to me.

Any set can sound bad. The Tantive IV is a undersized and figure lacking ship. You get a useless desk room and the cockpit has almost no detail.

The Tantive IV is actually pretty good and so is the battle of Endor. Last time I checked 8038 was at 12 votes and the 10198 was at 2 votes. It looks like a losing battle KimT.

Dropship and AT-OP

None of us ever expected it to be made but i think we all had dreamed about it - carrying our AT-TE armies into battle

The 2 sets in 1 idea was new and it really felt like a reward from TLC - this was a set for us

It's great to see so many people interested in this topic!

I totally agree with you, Jonas O.!

And that's even the reason why I voted for

8038 The Battle of Endor

being my favourite SW set of this year.

I bought this set on Friday and finished it building up this morning.

Imo it has nearly only pros and nearly no cons. Like partly already mentioned it includes:

- a decent building - the bunker - and not only a piece of wall

- eleven minifigures and one droid

- three completely new minifigures: Chief Chirpa, Endor Rebel Trooper and Endor Princess Leia

- an Imperial Trooper for those people which can't afford the DS

- awesome and very realistic design of the vehicles and mainly the bunker :oh:

- awesome and very realistic interior of the bunker :oh:

- much playability

- 100 Euros is really not cheap - but for these many awesome contents it's a good price performance ratio - perhaps even the best price performance ratio of all SW sets until now!

My list of this year's favourite sets is:

1. The Battle of Endor

2. Home One Mon Calamari Cruiser

3. Echo Base

4. Tantive 4

(In CW sets I'm not interested and PT sets I don't collect.)

Rebel Blockade Runner.

The most anticipated Star Wars ship released in a looooong time.

To me, the release of this one, is a dream come true

I partly agree with you, KimT.

On the one hand I'm of course very glad to finally get a minifig scaled Tantive 4 since I've been waiting for it for years and it is the in the movies at first seen ship.

On the other hand imo the outcome is really disappointing. :cry_sad: The exterior is of course brilliantly designed. :oh: And it's even great to get Antilles and a white-suited Princess Leia.

But the interior is bad: no hallway (which is the most important place in the movie!) and no real chairs in Leia's office  . Plus there are only five minifigs, no silvern 3PO, no black-suited Imperial Officer and no other exclusive minifig. :sadnew:
