Marbled misprint

Recommended Posts

It's pretty hard to put an exact value on such things. Marbled bricks seem to be becoming more common in recent years and they do come up for sale on bricklink. I've seen some spectacular examples of marbling, looking like an almost 50-50 split of two colours and sometimes a very basic brick might go for a couple dollars rather than a few cents.

I guess in your case being a bit more specialised piece there may be a niche market for this variant. Maybe a bionicle expert out there would have more idea, but bottom line is I don't think you'll be able to retire if you did sell it :classic:

it probably got stressed out by something and came back to its original shape (?) a lot of my transparent bricks and bionicle pieces are like that.

I'll suggest that in this case its worth Less than that part would be normally.

If it was a cool looking marbling, that was like uniform across the whole part, then maybe more, but in this case its just kinda an ugly scar on one side.

I disagree. Misprints are worth more (at least a little) than the normal version because they're so rare. Collectors like defects -- There are thousands of the normal part, but how many are there like this?
