Disclaimer: As opposed to my other pirate mocs, this was an experimental battle scene, to see if Pirates lego + snow + Ketchup would equal a realistic battle scene.

In this Moc, we return to Upper Canada and our intrepid redcoats...

054.jpg

..are under attack!

055.jpg

The survivors.

056.jpg

An artilleryman preps a shot...

057.jpg

...But meets an unfourtunate end.

059.jpg

The Colonel (me, yet again :pir_laugh2: ) prepares to lead his men in a gallant attack...

060.jpg

...But gets swept off his horse by a bullet...

061.jpg

..and killed. The grisly scene so far.

EDIT: Reaction positive! I will finish!

062.jpg

The Remaining Redcoats are still under fire, leaderless and gunless.

"What do we do, Sarge?"

"We charge! It's what the Colonel woulda wanted."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes! Let's go!"

063.jpg

"England!"

064.jpg

The Sarge is plucked off by the enemy...

065.jpg

...but the lone redcoat charges on!

066.jpg

Only to be hit by a cannon ball. (Ouch)

067.jpg

The grisly (not grizzly :pir-tongue: ) scene.

Questions/Comments? Link to Part 1 and Part 2

Thus concludes my Pirates in the Snow miniseries. If you want more, comment in this topic's new poll.

I like your liquid Lego in Photo 4... or is it ketchup... :pir-laugh:

Ever tried to create the snow with real bricks... like a lot of 4073.jpg

Let say with 10000 of # 4073... :pir-wink:

It's an interesting concept, but I'm not quite sure about the ketchup. I do enjoy the outdoor locations though.

Personally I love the ketchup (please tell me it IS ketchup you used as blood!)

And I love these snowy scenes a lot as well, good job  !

I like that you have extended from your old, winter MOC. Great job!

I like it, the story as well. :pir-skull:

I also like the ketchup ( or isn't it? ) used for blood, the snow is great too.

Can't wait to see more. :pir-blush:

They are the most delicious looking Imperial Guards I've seen in a long time!

Interesting you've used "Do you want more Pirates in the Snow?" as the poll title because there aren't actually any pirates in those pictures. In fact, I don't think I've never seen Pirate LEGO in the snow (excluding certain artwork :pir-wink:) so you could be breaking new ground if you use Pirate mini-figures next time.

Perhaps...hmmm, that is food for thought. You've given me an excellent idea, Phes; I shall try it out ASAP.

As for the lack of Pirates...well, would you want to be wearing bare arms in the middle of a Canadian winter? I think not. :pir_laugh2:

As for all those who followed this series, I do have a new series:Thok's Journey Through the World of the 19th Century. Check it out - I've actually done some real building this time!

This says Stalingrad to me :pir-wink: Or the Crimea, maybe.

I really like the concept, and the ketchup is... interesting.

I'm not a big fan of the over-stated gore (although I do like a bit) - what I'd really like to see is a less "Batman" approach, but more like these (minus the ketchup :pir-grin:) -

064.jpg

037.jpg

Sort of bodies in the snow, mostly covered, only vague shapes. And soldiers with crutches limping through the snow.

Perhaps as a Part 4?

Keep it up

Thanks, Sly! I am in the midst of making a part 4 - however, I am more focused on my new series.

Maybe I won't use ketchup next time....
