Lego12 Posted October 5, 2008 That's a nice little MOC. Go Pirates, Go Pirates! :P I like how you made the guitar and microphone, but the top of the microphone (Yellow stud) should be dark grey. Lego12
Mister Phes Posted October 5, 2008 And the band begins to play! I had also envisioned an Imperial Guard marching band, but never a pirate band. Did anyone go to the "1993 LEGO World Expo - Pirates Ahoy" - there was a lifesized (I think) brickbuilt pirate band there.

CVSPIS_CELIDVS Posted October 6, 2008 Did anyone go to the "1993 LEGO World Expo - Pirates Ahoy" - there was a lifesized (I think) brickbuilt pirate band there. I went to the "LEGO World Expo - Pirates Ahoy" in 1991 in Kaohsiung when I was eleven. However, I lost the lifesized band in my memory. There is a thread talking about the " LEGO Expo - Pirates Ahoy" in TWLUG Pirates forum: http://www.twlug.info/forums/viewtopic.php?t=11925, and the reporter took the photo of a lifesized brickbuilt violin in the Expo in Hong Kong in 2006. I like how you made the guitar and microphone, but the top of the microphone (Yellow stud) should be dark grey. Aye, the yellow top of the microphone is not clear to see. Thanks for your advice and I'll change the top to dark gray in the revision. Isn't that a Banjo ?? It is more like a Balalaika.

Thank you for this link CVSPIS_CELIDVS, the linking page appears to have images of exhibits in the expo that I've forgotten so that's always exciting!
