Hi!

Here's my attempt at building a small-scale WALL•E:

Comments and Constructive Criticism welcome!

Btw, I'm new to the EB forums, so if this thread is not in the correct subforum, please move it!

Regards,

Stefan

Update October 2009:

I just rebuilt Wall•E's treads and hands to make him more accurate:

That would be about minifig scale, right? I like that.

Haven't seen the movie though...

Nice work!

Thanks!

@ Captain green hair: I haven't seen the movie too (It will be released in Austria on September 25th), but I think my MOC is too big for minifig scale (it's slightly shorter than a minifig)

Awww! Its so cute! I really like it though, even if it isn't minifig scale. It seem that its the latest fad among the Lego community. EB should have a WALL-E contest. :classic:

Well, if you think about it, so's the minifig scale R2-D2, so I think it's just perfect!

Great work and welcome to EB!

Thank you!

@tin7: The body is a Travis Brick, upside down. On the Back is a Tile 2 x 2, on the front a Plate 2 x 2 covered with Tiles, and on the sides are Plates 1 x 2 with one Stud. Inside the Travis Brick is a Technic Pin 1/2, which holds the Bar 1.5L with Clip for the Head.

Here's a complete part list:

Part - Colour (Quantity)

4733.png Brick 1 x 1 with Stunds on 4 sides - Any colour (1x)

3022.png Plate 2 x 2 - Yellow (1x)

3068b.png Tile 2 x 2 - Yellow (1x)

3069b.png Tile 1 x 2 - Yellow (1x)

3070b.png Tile 1 x 1 - Dark Bley (1x); Trans-Red (1x)

3794.png Plate 1 x 2 with 1 Stud - Yellow (2x)

4696.jpg Pneumatic T piece - Light Bley (1x)

4274.png Technic Pin 1/2 - Light Bley (5x)

32523.png Technic Liftarm 1 x 3 Straight - Black (2x)

2555.png Tile 1 x 1 with Clip - Black, but any Bley or Yellow also works (2x)

75.png Technic Flex-System Hose - Black or Bley, cut to a lenght of about 6mm (2x)

48729.1206335105.jpg Bar 1.5L with Clip - Dark Bley (3x)

That's a really nice model. I think it's the best small-scale one I've seen. Good job!

Yes, of all the LEGO recreations of the character I've seen, this is definitely my favourite.

Thanks! As for the body and thread design, I have to credit Neo Vox.

Btw, soon Wall-E will meet his Girlfriend!

Very nicely done Stefan!

He might be a little big for MF scale, but i think that's as close we're going to get. :classic:

Very innovative on the construction; it took me a while to figure out how it was made.

Hope it's ok if i build one of your wall-e's, cause i'm going to anyway.

Great work!

The Wall-E has the most detail I have seen and that is a terrific EVA. Amazing work!

I´ve seen the movie today an I have to say your two robots are absolutely brilliant!

Although they are very small, they capture the feeling of the movie - very well done!

I saw the movie some time ago, I liked it very much, especcialy the "mute" part which was filled with emotions!

Your Wall-E is great, simple but good-looking; and EVA too, I like your WALL-E more though.

Your V2 looks very good! One thing that worries me is the tires snapping. I also love EVE!
