COMIC REVIEW: Space Police II

Recommended Posts

indexed.gif

hi!

This is my second Space-Theme-Review!

I tried something new (for me). Benjamin the Parrot Punk will try to review the theme, so that I can relax in the meantime.

Because of the large amount of pics (~100), I decided to link to the brickshelf gallery so you can read the comic , using the "next" button!

SPACE POLICE II - the review

If you don't want to read the whole story (now), here's a table of contents:

1) Introduction

2) Sets

3) "secret" sets

4) Building Instructions

5) Boxes

6) Logos, Patterns, Catalogue Pics

7) "What about Space Police I ?"

8) Brickshelf finds / links:

DISCLAIMER: I did NOT build the following models. These are just a few galleries I found while browsing brickshelf.

Sub Space Police Diver by Mutant-Manfred

Wow, what a fantastic and comprehensive review, what a fine and hilarious work, thank you very much, Bernd!:laugh::thumbup:

Although I own only some SP I sets, I really like the interesting design and the cool color scheme of that line.... I guess

my favorite setsĀ“re clearly the pretty solid Galactic Mediator, the neat Solar Snooper and that clever Rebel Hunter. :cry_happy:

This is puuuure awesome :cry_happy: I love these reviews, thank you very much! SpII is quite a theme - trans green, and a new line of figures, and the nifty box picking mechanisms. Although the main set could've used some work, it's still within the classicals era.

Thank you for the great comic/review!

That had so many funny moments. My favorite bit was the commander's legs getting stuck in the cockpit. I know exactly what you're talking about there.

That catalog picture showing the Blacktrons running into the ice cave actually has a second part to it. It shows the other side of the cave and some Ice Planet guys carrying out a Blacktron encased in a block of ice.

Also, here's another one for your MOC listing. I made it a few years ago.

Great and funny review.

I wasn't big fan of SP2 color scheme but I loved their big models like

Solar Snooper and Mediator (still don't have them).

Another MOC find:

SP2 Prison Train

thanks for all this nice words!

...and for the mocs too!

CP5670 your MOC is awesome! You really made the color scheme right, which is actually not that easy because it isn't that clear, which color is the main color: black or gray?

Once again thank you (this means a lot to me  )!

May I assume this is the last review, as in order to review you need a whole line of space, which isn't always the easiest thing to do? :cry_sad:

Thanks for the incredible and hilarious review! Your sets are in beautiful condition...I purchased my Galactic Mediator used, so the canopies are opaque from scratching. Yours look brand new, which is [envy] great [/envy]. Keep up the good work!

brand new?

this was one of the first sets I bought on ebay. an attic find. smelly. dusty.

I only used an old toothbrush to get rid of the layers of dust.

QUICK EDIT: thanks for your feedback! (totally forgot about that...! )
