SirNadroj Posted April 19, 2008 Titles says it all. I'm sure this little MOC has been foreshadowed by some previous MOCs of mine. (Particularly: Fabuland MOCs and Cave Racers. ) Looking foward to your feedback!
Sir Dano Posted April 19, 2008 (edited) well, I should have seen that one coming, but I didn't... Looks pretty cool. Edited April 19, 2008 by sir dano
ExoBuilder Posted April 19, 2008 Those book-wings are amazing
zero1312 Posted April 19, 2008 Well, it rather looks like an mess of random parts mashed together. Not my cup of tea, sorry!
Asuka Posted April 19, 2008 A wonderful racer, and the use of that axe, these pink books and of course the famous blue bucket´s simply ingenious! Flower power on!
SlyOwl Posted April 19, 2008 Well, it rather looks like an mess of random parts mashed together. I'm afraid I have to echo this; it doesn't look especially Fabulandish, in particular the black parts. Furthermore, I don't really get this whole cave-racer thing; are they like scaled-down pod-racers? That said, it's a great concept and could work well with a little tweaking Those book-wings are amazing Moko came up with the technique first, I think

Thank you very much ~ I'm glad you like it. Well, it rather looks like an mess of random parts mashed together. Not my cup of tea, sorry! Any constructive critism? That's what MOC Feedback is about. The Cave Racer fad was developed by Builder's Lounger Gambort, I didn't come up with the idea. There are certain requirments to a racer, please look here: http://www.flickr.com/groups/727410@N21/ As for the book idea, I didn't know Moko originated it. Suggestions for improvment appreciated! You need ideas to back your opinons, you know!
SlyOwl Posted April 19, 2008 I totally disagree, though I appreciate your responses. Any constructive critism? That's what MOC Feedback is about. Sorry. OK, my suggestions: -Make the bley clips black for colour consistency; there's no other visible bley in the model -Don't use the spear; it looks too violent for Fabuland. The axe is just passable as it hasn't got a sharp point. -In the final picture the flower exhausts look like wheels, which is somewhat confusing. Use the chrome hooters here instead, to get a less jumbled top and more chrome on the undercarriage. -The black parts between the upper and lower parts look a little random; perhaps some specialised Fabuland part here instead? Or if you've got a third chrome exhaust, which could lead into the back of the bucket... -Instead of the black slopes on the front, perhaps use the teddy? I'm not sure what kind of connections it has on its back... -Could the handle bars be moved forwards so they rest just behind the books, and the goat's body hangs between the chrome parts? No need to apologize! Some excellent suggestions! Thanks for the input ~ I'm sure it'll look more consistent and better this way! The spear, unfortunately, is a required part. There are four required parts: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3028/241590...4b4efc9.jpg?v=0 My Racers would look a lot different if it wasn't for the requirments. I'm working on a Crystal Skull Racer ~ my Akator skellies just arrived, so that'll be completed and photographed probably tonight!
zero1312 Posted April 19, 2008 Sorry SirNadroj , it's not the used parts, it's the colourscheme. Try less different colours.
