The Great Brick War

Catalyst Part III- Operation Jackal

Preparation has begun for an Operation in response to the Briolui Radar Station Seizure. Filace is cool and calm, but also understands it is now under a lot of pressure with the additional capture of Toohati operatives working on their side of the border to disrupt their way of life. Though Brioului and Toohati have yet to formally declare war, Filace believes they will wait until just before they are ready to strike. Filace has put together a small team of crack soldiers to cross the border into Briolui and begin the first stage of a multi part Operation titled "Jackal" to even the odds. Electronic AWACs indicates that Briolui has not gotten the Radar Site up and full functional since taking it over. One of the civilian contractors informed the intelligence service that they disabled a system prior to being evacuated. Briolui will fix the problem, but it is taking them some time.

Map Name: Studica - Grid E4- 2 Miles from the Border to Briolui- 2200 Hours

Cobra 2: Lets get to that tree line.

The team broke into the jungle to get out of the open. Though still in friendly territory, the team wanted to remain undetected by both friend and foe so they traveled only by night. They had a long journey ahead of them which would last a few days. This was not a race, it was a marathon. The team switched over to secure internal comm channels and use throat microphones to communicate.

Cobra 2: How long we going tonight 1?

33244492176_576a1342b8_t.jpg

Cobra 1: At a minimum we're crossing that border tonight. Radio Silence unless we run into something from here on out.

The team comfortably made it across the border and was on high alert. The south central portion of Grid E4 has a massive lake in it. The team trekked through the night right up until about 0400 Hours and false dawn quickly approached. The Cobra team skirted along the lake a bit before setting up their NDP (Night Defensive Position). The team circled the NDP twice to make sure they were alone.

The team went down for the day and took shifts sleeping and eating. Well inside enemy territory, everyone was on high alert.

Before moving out, Cobra 1 called in a SITREP to home base.

Cobra 1: We are proceeding to Rally Point 1 in Grid E5 and will be there before First Light.

Crackling Radio: Roger Cobra. Be advised, Phase 2 of Operation Jackal will be in motion at that time. It is imperative that you relay any issues in a timely manner so we can abort if necessary. Satellite scans indicate you should have little to no interaction with others before reaching the target.

33244492176_576a1342b8_t.jpg

Cobra 1: Solid Copy on your last Base. Cobra 1 Out.

33129947632_ec8312ee03_z.jpg

The team moved out and started Night 2 of their journey. Though they had no encounters, the terrain proved to be quite difficult as they gained elevation. The vegetation was thick and overgrown drastically slowing the teams progress. By the time they found a suitable position to go quiet for the day hours, they were exhausted and in need of a break.

Similar to the day before, the team slept and ate in shifts only this time it was  abit of a heavier sleep. Cobra had only a few more miles to cover this evening. Before moving out, Cobra 1 again called in a SITREP

33244492176_576a1342b8_t.jpg

Cobra 1: Base this is Cobra over.

Crackling Radio: We have you Cobra. Status Check.

33244492176_576a1342b8_t.jpg

Cobra 1: We succeeded in hitting rally point 1 last night. No signs of detection. We are (3) miles from our final position. As of now Jackal is a go. Any update?

Crackling Radio: Good to hear Cobra. Jackal Phase 2 is in motion. Switch to secure comm channel Charlie after this transmission for tomorrow evening to make your SITREP. We will be joined by another contact, Callsign Gunslinger. How Copy. Over.

33244492176_576a1342b8_t.jpg

Cobra 1: Cobra confirms. Switching to Secure Channel Charlie after transmission. Will make contact with Gunslinger.

Crackling Radio: Cobra be advised. Today's satellite scans indicate you boys are not alone out there. Vehicle patrols are now occurring in your neck of the woods. Be on Alert. Confirm when you are in position of the target. Over.

33244492176_576a1342b8_t.jpg

Cobra 1: Copy last transmission. Cobra will confirm target on arrival base. Cobra out.
