Welcome to the Great Brick War, Generals!

You are about to embark on a new strategic brick journey. Before posting, please be sure to read all of the rules below and in the General Rules Thread.

The following countries will be available for selection at game opening. We will allow 2 players per country after the first 12 countries are selected once. Please try and select countries that others have not from the onset in the interest of making the game more diverse. Players who sign up during the initial rollout will have options to change countries and alliances that will not be given to players who join later.

Players must post in this thread with the name of the country they wish to join.
This is a first come first serve basis.
Please refer to the country index thread to read summaries of the countries and help make a decision. Remember the goal of this game is to enjoy yourself. Do not pick a country solely because you believe it has an advantage, things change in war on the drop of a dime. Players who work harder with lesser countries may be rewarded more so than those who perform mediocre with greater countries. All things to consider.

 

Be sure to introduce yourself and list: Your Alliance, Your Country, and post a 100 x 100 Picture of your character. Tell us about your country (be creative) and what you hope to accomplish in the game. If you have questions, post them up here.

Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to introduce you to James Kodiak, soldier of the Commonwealth of Southern Territories, member of the Republic of Nations (RON).

James led a normal life. He grew up on a farm and was one of many siblings.  At the age of 21, he decided to join the military.  During basic training, one of the platoon's members was trapped inside a building used for an ordinance demonstration.  Upon realizing what was about to happen, James raced in to save his teammate.  The story goes, James burst through the wall carrying him out just as the explosion was about to go off.  The team said he looked like a giant bear running at them. Thus, the nickname 'El Oso' was given and has stuck ever since!

F. Al' Hadrin is joining the powerful navy of the Deland Republic ! For the glory of the Republic of Nations !

The Deland Republic is a proud nation with an excellent naval and commercial tradition.

The past main activity of the country was forest exploitation from forestry activities to furnitures factory with a good orchard activity for food supplies in the south part of the Republic wich is less cold than the north. The country is actually still famous for its Apple and Cider production. It became a National proud at a point that the country used the Apple as a National Symbol and put it on the National Flag !

But, when the Industrial Revolution arrived, there were no place for wood production and the world became oil and metal consumer. The Deland Republic slowed down its wood industry and struggled to maintain its commercial position in the world. They develop an aggressive way to use commerce combined with naval armed activities... This is at this time the Navy became stronger and stronger ! Many of the ships designed in the world at this past time were from Deland Shipyards. This was until the discovery of oil reserves beneath the sea...

The discovery of giants oil reserves the country could finally exploit by Off-Shore Techniques allowed it to become a major commercial partner inside the Republic Of Nations. The main Oil Company, the Star Oil, managed to strongly influence the country and now the star oil symbol is represented on the official flag with the apple.

Now the Deland Republic is still a quite aggressive commercial country that tend to interfere with other Nations if there is profit to be made. Its strenght is based on Oil, Navy and Commerce (some says And Apple Cider...)

Good day to all, I hope this message finds you well.

I am Lord Donald Spud of New Brickika. You may have heard my family name from years gone by as we ruled close to half of the world, as I remember it. 

Now part of the COAC, I lend my financial strength as well as military advancements to spread peace across the world. We may seem a little pompous and above the rest, but this is only because we are.

We are a proud and honourable nation, see to it that our tolerance is not worn thin, or you shall find little mercy from our fierce armed forces.

What kind of weapon is that supposed to be? Make sure you read the rules, we are depicting real life stuff. You can always use a starwars rifle or create a weapon using parts but make sure it is something that depicts a weapon in reality.
