7 hours ago, Comrade Commander said:

Darksten repeats, but indicates to the Commodore he can throw his Neptune bomb.

"Shall we use this so that the battle doesn't get away from us? I feel it is time to put out the fire"

Annienal nods in approval. "I have no qualms with that."

Annienal continues to strike away, this time at Battle Ant Mob B from the front row. She hoped her armour would hold her through.

Annienal switches from her Hollow Flagpole to her Bonaparte Cutlass and takes a swipe at the Firefly E.

"We're going to pull through! We're doing good!"

As the assassin sees his arrows take out the enemy, he savers the moment brought by the rare one hit kills. The joy is short lived however as his primary target still stands and continues to bring forth new foes.

"Why does it always seem that I need to fight bugs?" Darksten thinks to himself as he repeats his attack on the one human enemy standing in the battle "at least there are no spiders"

With a screech his bodily form shatters and he becomes a great flaming bird with a malicious human grin, which cackles as it takes off into the skies. The heroes watch as it flies away.

Siercon is miffed as Hectz joust firefly D out of the decamodifier's line of sight causing Siercons shot to fall flat on firefly E.

"What a waste." Siercon said.

Siercon turns and fires off a water spell at the will-o-wisp from the front.

As the man falls, then bursts into the new creature, the assassin is a bit shocked. However he doesn't have time to linger as he continues his attack.

Darksten repeats, attaching the ants from the back.

OOC: Annienal switched to the Bonaparte Cutlass, so she lost 3 SP that the Flagpole gave her. She should've taken 2 damage. I know this isn't a lot of health, but I'd rather be honest and admit that I took a bit of damage than skirt around a mistake made in the calculations. :classic:

Annienal shields herself, hoping to avoid the brunt of the Firefly's damage. She feels the heat against her begin to swell, only to be caught off guard as the strange man burst into the form of a phoenix and rise into the sky. Annienal's guard was let down long enough for the Firefly to damage her slightly on her arm. She stepped back from the attack, only to continue watching the man as he flew off into the distance. Part of her envied his ascension, wanting to be in the air, and able to go wherever she pleased. The other half knew she had a ways to go until she could even consider getting to such a point. She looked back to the swarm of insects, her mind returning to the situation at hand.

"Let's, um, wrap this up." Annienal assists Darksten in dealing with the Fire Ant Mob E.

Heckz is astonished by the way the man had just turned into a flaming bird instead of dying.

I need some alone time with him and a thorough lesson of his tips and tricks...

Heckz impudently pushes Siercon back to be the first to strike the Will O The Wisp from the front row.

Siercon smacks Heckz hand off as he pushed off him.

"Keep you grubby paws off me!... God knows where your slimy gropers have been!" Siercon said disgusted.

"Well, I, um, am glad to be of continued assistance, Commodore Largus. You wouldn't happen to have any information on who Fenix is, do you? I don't think I've ever read of a man with the capability to turn into a phoenix. Or, um, perhaps he was a phoenix in the body of a man?" Annienal pondered.

"Um, Siercon?" Anninenal inquired, "I know I sold it to you, but is it possible I could borrow the aquamarine I sold you? I need to, um, wash some things after our last fight." Annienal asked, hoping Siercon would be amicable enough to lend her a hand.

"I'm used to dealing with competing groups of people, not with anything like that. I'll admit I sometimes have trouble parsing out exactly what each party wants, but they all at least want mortal things..." Largus grimaces. "To put a more fine point on things, no, I have no information on who Fenix might be or why he might have taken offense at the Sungold Alliance. Only time will tell, I suppose."

Night has begun to fall, and it will be impossible for the heroes to make it back to Eubric within the day. The Weeping Inn can be seen in the far distance, and it seems they'll have to spend another night at the morose place.

With the battle over and the cargo destroyed, the assassin shifts through the wreckage. The pause refreshing after the  constant fighting. He helps gather the loot, hoping to find something of rare so he can claim it first. At the end really only the firebombs and the rubies interest him.

To the commodore he replies:

"There always seems to be something new in this line of work, yet it all seems the same in the end.

I get the feeling that won't be the last we saw of that bird, and for all we know there are more of them out there. Perhaps ones of ice or lightning too we will have to contend with. But yes, for now it would be wise to arm the men appropriately and perhaps hire a weather Mage or two to accompany the shipments for further support."

Seeing the Weeping Inn on the horizon he continues.

"Alas it is getting dark and I think our work here is done. Shall we retire to the Inn over there? Perhaps the innkeeper has some other interesting stories we may be interested in."

"Most Certainly" Siercon created a little black rain cloud hovering around 6 feet in the air. For kicks and a bit of artistic value, he used his topaz as well to have the cloud spark tiny flickers inside its fluffy from. (1/6 chance of getting zapped/stunned for RP/story)

"if that doesn't do, you can certainly borrow the actual gen as well." Siercon held it out if she thought it needed further.
