Upgrade to the Arkham Asylum

Recommended Posts

Over the past month, I dedicated a lot of time and effort in up-scaling and improving Lego's Arkham Asylum set 10937.  After several Bricklink orders and trips to my local used Lego store, it is much larger and with some real grounds and hopefully enjoyable.

Here is a video of its assembly from parts.  I hope you enjoy!

It looks much more fleshed out and complete. A worthy addition to the Batverse. Although I'd prefer to see still photos instead of videos. Everyone does videos these days. I want to be able to stare at the details instead of trying to pause it.

Either way, thanks for sharing.

Looks great! I did something very similar with mine as I too, found it to be lacking.

Hey @durazno33,

wow - as a fan of all DC- (and Marvel- ) based stuff I really enjoyed your impressive recreation and improvement of the Asylum!

Very beautiful and atmospheric with all its details - best of all it's really a nice and perfect MOC to be displayed, having a real base and area around.

Cheers,

Cris

Awesome job! I really love those Gargoyle Statues and how you've created Ivy in the new style but with the original :D
Makes me wish I bought more than one Arkham set when I had the chance :/

Any plans for trying it with the LEGO Batman movie Arkham?

this is awesome, how many sets did you use? and how many pieces?

I didn't keep track of piece count but the original set takes 1619 pieces and this is about 5 times the size.  That plus the base I'd say around 10000 pieces.

I haven't purchased that one yet but that one could use some up sizing for sure.

Now THIS is the Arkham set we need and deserve.

Yeah, It would be awesome for Lego to sell an Ultimate collectors version of the Arkham Asylum like this.
