fred67 Posted September 23, 2016 http://www.slashgear.com/flybrix-is-a-drone-made-of-lego-that-you-can-crash-23457310/ I did a search of the board, and maybe it's because we're in the midst of an upgrade, but I didn't see any mention of this.... actual powered LEGO flight, just not purist. I'd include a picture from the article, but don't see how right now.
Bob De Quatre Posted September 23, 2016 So it's totally purist, except for the power source, the motors, and the rotor blades...
fred67 Posted September 23, 2016 (edited) Like I said, just not purist. Is that any different than people here using Roller Coaster Factory or SBrick? Edited September 23, 2016 by fred67
1980-Something-Space-Guy Posted September 23, 2016 Interesting idea! It combines two of the best things in life: Lego and drones.
Vorkosigan Posted September 24, 2016 Neat idea but too expensive, and the idea that the price will go up after an introductory period is absurd. They should sell a version that has just the electronics mounted to the Lego compatible parts, and leave off < $10 worth of normal LEGO that they are overcharging for. Honestly a kit like that should cost at most $60. I recently bought a drone with a 720P camera that streams to your phone, and it includes a controller, for $70.
