I may also build this in white.  It looks quite good IMO.

Complet white? Oh. You will get some problems.

1.) Page 92-94 +40x  Beam 1x2 Half (41677) only red Version

2.) Page 132 Step 6

3.) page 133 Step 6

4.) Page 138 Step 3 and 3

TLG has made the 1x2 beam with pin hole and axle hole in white now so this set is possible to build in white now with a few small changes.  I believe only one area requires both through holes for the flex axles so it would need to be omitted there.

Any takers?

Hi,

Mine can't run and both Cv joints at rear got damaged! I guess it's too heavy, why yours can run so smoothly?

Please help!

Maybe they didn't get damaged, but they disconnected. Did you check that already?

Yes,

Disconnected, if I still run, CV joint axle (92906) got damaged, because  CV joint (32494) rotate and harder 92906.How to solve that problem? I don't want it for display only. Sorry for my bad english.

Hi,

The best solution for this issue is to place a single bushing

LEGO-BIONICLE-2015_review_70784-Lewa_707

in between the CV joint and the black axle adapter in this photo: https://goo.gl/photos/jQhfm9vN2CmAZYuw8

This will provide more rigidity to the axle holding the CV joint.  I hope this helps...

This works great for me and I use it frequently in my builds.

Yes, just like that.

Hi,

It's can't help I tried, because this 18654 rotates freely between CV joint and 59443, can't make CV joint more rigid.

@DugaldIC designed the framework. Dug, do you have any other ideas?

I don't know why the one from Thorsten runs like hell?

I found if I don't reverse when driving forward and let car stop on its own it's ok.

So, how to solve this issue or we have to accept this, for display only?

Thank you for your reply.

Hi,

Why don't you replace the CV joint for a universal joint?

Just on the one side were you are having trouble.

Hi,

I tried but another problem happened, the small tan gears 6589 in the differential get damaged, 2 XL motor sound very noisy, maybe all gears slipped inside it. its rear is quite heavy and too much torque form 2 XL motors, I think that's teh problem when playing forward and suddenly reverse.

Try changing the 2x 20 teeth gears to 2x 12 teeth gears, and the 12 tooth bevel gear to a 12 tooth thicker black gear.  (see here https://goo.gl/photos/qnh44DztV85jrE9t6)

THis will easily gear it down, and not allow skipping.

Thank you Lox lego, now I have to disassembly it and change all gears as you said. But I still don't know why his car runs too good, nothing happens until I follow his instruction?

I'm not too sure, the only time I saw an issue was when you tried to go straight from reverse into drive or vise versa. I might have to revisit the design and see if I can't make a simple fix. Gearing it down would definitely help though.
