Modular Cheese Shop and Museum

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

this is the second part of my Amsterdam project: a modular canal house containing a cheese shop with bistro and a small cheese museum that explains how cheese is made. (First part: book shop)

The shop area and bistro. The mezzanine is easily removable.

Very theme and brickwork. The little details are nice, and the buildings really give the feel of Amsterdam. I also like the usage of plates on the outside to emphasize the brick layers.

Wonderful building! The alternating brickwork is wonderful, and it stands out a bit more in brown. Lovely interiors too. Can't fault it, great job all round!

Those are a lot of 2x1 plates you used there... Great work, looks awesome!

What's the next building gonna be?

Suoerb. That owner sure loves his lime! I am wondering how the seats are made.. Can you explain?

That is not to difficult.

I think he used ixi bricks with one side stud or a hole and technic pins to attach to the side plates, and a curved 2x2 slope for the rear

Verry inventive

Lovely Cheese shop. You could include some Tan Cheeses and maybe some red Edam Balls.

You know this is the first time I have seen any incarnation of a shop devoted to cheese, LEGO OR NOT!

But it looks great! I like those mixers on the second level. Very much 'to scale'

but what do I know! I've never seen one! Great build

Thank you for all the nice comments. They are much appreciated :classic:

Yes, that's exactly how she made them. I used 1x1 bricks with studs on one side to attach the 2x2 flat tiles and a curved 2x2 slope for the rear on a 2x2 plate.

I'm quite surprised how popular the chair and sofa are :classic:

There will definitely be a third building in this style. Currently I'm collecting ideas. We'll see

Really nice set of buildings. I like how they are made with plates to give the illusions of bricks. Really charming interior details, especially that cheese shop. Well done!

Oww.. Eeuhm yes i wanted to type "she" but ometime the s doen't work ;) sorry

And yes the chair and sofa are verry inventive. And they don't look as bulky as 4 wide chairs (wich i can't stand).

Have you got any Ilchester?

-No

All right, well how about Red Leicester?

-Normally, sir, yes, but the van broke down.

Wensleydale?

-Yes

Splendid, I'll have some of that then, please.

-Oh! I thought you were referring to me, Mr. Wensleydale.

You must love cheese! The houses are very Amsterdammy and the owner loves to read comics. Everything is great. Now i'm going to see that other house in your link.

Beautiful build that matches your first building perfectly and a wonderful interior. Can hardly wait to see what the third Amsterdam build is like.
