[Myth?] Bright Green 4 x 3 Plant Leaves 2423

Recommended Posts

Hello,

The search results here on EB weren't that satisfying so I just ask you:

Do bright green 4 x 3 Plant Leaves (2423) really exist?

2423.GIF

Of course they are listed on Bricklink, but only as an alternate part of the Holiday Train. And on Brickset they are not listed at all.

Currently there are four BL-sellers who have them available in their stores, but at least the German seller had to confess that his leaves are in fact green.

I have never seen someone using this piece.

So does it really exist or is it listed wrong on Bricklink?

Hope there is someone who can clear this up.

Best

Jonas

No. Bright Yellowish Green is an entirely different color (Lime on BrickLink). Bright Green is Bright Green on BrickLink and Brickset alike.

I might be mixed up, but I thought they may have come in some Friends sets? Possibly the small ones that were stuck to the magazines.

Then again, I am yet to finish the first coffee of the day and could be talking nonsense.

Like Aanchir already said you are talking about a different color: Lime green

Same here. Several Friends sets contained Lime Green 4x3 Leaves.

The specific part could be only from the Holiday Train set and only from a very special version.

All people I know who bought that set got green leaves instead of bright green ones.

At least in LDD, the colour we know as "green" is called "bright green", so there may just be some confusion with terminology.

No, LDD uses official Lego color terms. The color Bricklink (and most AFOLs) call "green" is officially called "dark green". The color Bricklink calls "dark green" is officially called "earth green". The color Bricklink calls "lime" is officially called "bright yellowish green". But bright green goes by the same name both officially and on Bricklink.
