I will suggest:

Mot-my own theme

DONE- details over necessary elements. Used in reviews.

Trojan bricks- a term used to describe when you post your moc, and the comments note half of it is made of k₱3o. Often stated as trojan bricks because no one notices until it is too late, i.e after you posted.

MOG- abbreviation for emoji(ī/mō/jī)

MMTC(s)-many more to come(soon)

TNW- the new wave of sets

MISS- may I suggest something

I think this is the right place to ask. What does 'dark ages' mean?

The period of time when a LEGO fan stops. So, the time between teens and returning to LEGO as an adult, if you stop at all.

I'm a newcomer, in terms of talking about my LEGO, except for around my friends, and have stumbled upon several terms I am unfamiliar with in these forums. Would anyone be so kind as to list these LEGO-specific words for me?

Thanks, DT64

There is a list somewhere online: but here is a brief overview.

TLG- The Lego Group, proper company name of Lego.

FOL- Fan of Lego

AFOL- Adult FOL

TFOL- Teenage FOL

KFOL- Kid FOL

SNOT- Studs not on top

CCBS- Character and Creature Building System; pieces used for current Bionicle and Star Wars figures sets.

LUG- Lego users group, aka Lego fan clubs!

BURP- Big Ugly Rock Piece, large molded pieces shaped like a cliff wall.

There is a page here on Eurobricks in the New Members section of the Forum Information forum.

Oooh burn!

P.S. what is a Walrus Fan of Lego?  Presumably @Siegfried is one?

I am sorry to bump this topic but I had the above question to ask...

What is: "figbarf"?

Might be useful to add. Photos with multiple minifigures? Quick searching has a variety of definitions ranging from a photo with at least two minifigures to a photo with no less than five.

But mostly sounds like this

I thought a "figbarf" was when you assembled a bunch of custom minifigures from a variety of minifigure parts that aren't necessarily meant to go together, without reference to a specific minifigure count.  It's certainly not just a photo with multiple minifigures.

Oh yes that would be a crucial detail! Thank you.

I picked up on what it meant after having seen a few, but I have to agree with you regarding what it sounds like. I mean, there wasn't any better way to describe it?? C'mon now.

@Classic_Spaceman That's perfect!

Not sure if you're still updating this, but I encountered two that weren't on the list. BAM and HY. @Guyon2002 was so kind as to define them:

Quote

BAM stands for Build A Minifigure. They're the stations at the LEGO Brand Stores where you can build 3 figs for a pretty cheap price. They often get exclusive prints etc.

HY stands for Half Year. So 1HY is the first half (january - june) and 2HY is the second half (july - december).
