I have a few of these items: http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=71015&idColor=22 in Chrome Silver. I have tried to research when these were made and in what sets they came. Darkdragon Posted November 8, 2015 Chrome silver is simply what happens to the old chrome gold over time. If you look at some old used coins, you'll see the same issue. It's either chemical or rubbing or a combination. So your crowns are most likely originally chrome gold but over time have faded to silver. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
