AAAAAAAAR HAAAAAA!!!

A wicked web of wool! That's quite an innovative use of something cheap and abudant. You must have nimble fingers Captain Green Hair for if I attempt to do such a thing I'd be in a complete tangle.

Thanks, it's cotton actually, it's not as thick and easy to work with.

What a nice, neat little ship. I especially admire the rigging and above all the stern, so nice and detailed for such a small ship. Thumbs up for some wicked work *y*

Though I prefer the normal, standard LEGO ladder to be used on the side of a ship instead of the one you used. Also, why did you name a VOC ship an English name? :-/ ;-)

Fabulous! Are you going to make a story about is? Because it looks a lot like a British ship, and it deserves a good tale.

Thank you!

Which ladder do you mean?

It's actually 'de gele dief', but you guys wouldn't understand :-D

Yes, i based it loosely on the surprise, when my island is done i'm going to make comics.

Ah yes... I see....

Captain Green Hair's hair is made from green wool is it not?

No it's green cotton thread, not so fuzzy X-D

Very nice, with neat proportions, a very cool rigging and a fine stern. Good work! *sweet*

A beautiful ship with beautiful rigging.

I find it really amazing you managed to make a ship like THIS on the small hull.

Great job!

Although, small nitpick, I still think, it would be better if you made custom cannons. But it is fine as it is now!

Let me start by saying that I like this ship a lot. It's awesome.

It is one of the best ships of this size that I've seen.

The details are amazing. Especially the stern looks great!

I have plans to make a ship on these hulls pieces myself and I will need to borrow some of your ideas.

Does this one have 3 mid-sections?

Now that's said, there are 3 things I would change...

1. I would replace those grey things (are they called crow nests?) in the mast by black ones.

2. Make the small red line yellow.

3. Changes those things in the front (what are they called?) into yellow.

Now there are a bit too much different colors IMO.

Here is a rough preview with some of these changes:

It looks real nice how you've drawn the color options, i will seriously take this in consideration, however i do like a bit of color to make it look lively.....

It has 2 midsections, if you need help, you know where to find me :-)

Aah the joys of speaking Dutch, wonderful, no?

I mean the ladders TLC uses on their ships as a standard. The same type of side ladders on the BSB I think ;-) I always use those, they look simpler and more authentic.

Ok, i don't like those, i think it should have more horizontal lines, and they're too short. If they'd change that, then maybe i'd use them.

I also like the realism of string rigging, but it's just a thing of personal taste i guess *sweet*

Thank you all for your nice comments!

Nope, but i'v taken pictures of the techniques used, so i can mail them.

Could start a tutorial too though...............

We already have a Making Sails Tutorial but nothing specifically on rigging.

So maybe rigging is the way to go! Take a look at our Tutorials page to see what we already have.

Yes the tutorials are very helpfull, i've learned deeplinking, how to make images smaller and i've used the gleu evil willy described on my sails. Thanks too the makers of these!

I have a new hull coming in next week, i'll just take you trough the entire proces of the buildsep by step and make it in to a tutorial. My technique for the tumblehome is pretty need too :-D
